This was such an awesome tournament. I greatly appreciated the Christ-like attitude displayed by everyone.

Allen and Rebecca (sp?) I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you both and look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks for nationals.

T-1 2P was swept by the PA play group from Hanover (all meant in good fun) lol

For my first T-2 attempt ever and with lots of help, advice and borrowed cards (thank you Allen and Rebecca) I managed to pull off a 2nd place finish.

Chris isn't from Hanover, and we have a player group name. lol

Congratulations to the players who represented our area, and all winners for that fact. Wish I could of been there to participate.

Some thoughts from the tournament:

Booster Draft: I had an AMAZING draft getting Mayhem from my TxP pack and KoT from my Priests pack.  On top of that I was able to get Ira (WC), Annanias+Saphira, Gabriel x 2, and Seven Sons of Sceva (to get KoT back).  I also had several small bands (Mary + Martha old school, Lois + Eunice, and Wise Egyptian and a Saduccees on defense to pull in others).  However none of this did me any good as I watched LSs being given out like candy to other players without being able to do anything about it.  Ah well, at least I got some sweet cards to take home.

T1-2p: My first game was a tough one against Brian Jones, who is the top player in our playgroup and knew exactly what to expect from my deck, and vice-versa.  It showed as we both beat up on each other and ended up with a timeout.  After that I had a couple wins in games that I think my opponents enjoyed as much as I did.  That put me into the championship game against Jerome with 1st place on the line.  It was a great matchup of an unstoppable force (his offense) against an immovable object (my defense), and as we neared the end of the game it was tied 4-4 LSs.  However he was able to make a sneaky attack that I just wasn't quite prepared to stop, and therefore beat me to 5, and dropped me to 4th place.  Back to the drawing board :)

T1-mp: Wow there was a lot of Samuel at the top!  And wow, do I play poorly when it is the middle of the night (ie. playing Mayhem while RBD is active).

TEAMS: Most of our visitors showed up later in the evening, so our TEAMS event was just made of our local playgroup.  This led to some fun games between people who have played each other a lot and know what to expect.  This was also the first time my 2 daughters teamed up together which was also nice to see as they came in 4th place.  My teammate (Brian Jones) and I had practiced more than usual prior to this tournament, and it paid off as we were able to take 1st, and get some momentum leading into Nats.

T2-2p: and T2-mp: I wasn't surprised to see Tyler Stevens take both of these categories.  But I was surprised to see Will Carson place in his first time ever playing the event.

Sealed:  I wasn't surprised to see our reigning national champion (Rebeccah Collins) placing in this event.  But I was surprised that I actually won this event, considering I usually do so poorly.  For once in my life, my Sealed opponents actually drew their LSs.  I was able to play my daughter Alecia in the 2nd round, which was also a treat.  The championship game with Josiah was also really a fun game for both of us as I recall.  Overall a really fun event.

Thanks for the recap prof

It was a great tournament and I really enjoyed myself. I was also inspired by our game. It made me feel warm and fuzzy that someone still plays deffense. I'm committed to my T-1 deck for the rest of this season but I will be seriously looking into the possibilities of deffensive heavy decks in T-1.

(also sorry for pointing out that RBD  :'()

Glad to have someone else at least think about it.  They are a lot of fun, and make games against speed decks WAY more fun.

No problem, it was a good call.  I just really shouldn't play tournament events at 4am :)
