Cactus Game Design Message Boards

Ok dudes, dudettes and doo dahs. I have the honor of hosting the East Central Regionals this year. This is my first time hosting a regional so I want to do it right. This will take place July 15 and 16 at Ewtonville Baptist Church in Dunlap, TN. If you have not been here I can hook you up with directions. The event will start at 6pm. Lunch (and maybe breakfast) will be provided on Saturday. Working out the price of the food now. Suggestions on the meals are welcome. The price will be a door fee of $10 with $12 for sealed deck and $20 for booster draft (Drafting with all 5 cardboard packs ie. TxP, Disciples, The Early Church, The Persecuted Church, and Cloud of Witnesses). Schedule of events are as follows.

Friday

6:00 Booster Draft     and      Type 1 Multiplayer


Saturday

8:00 am      Type 1 - 2 player     and      Sealed deck
                              Followed by
                   Type 2 - 2 player     and      Type 1 teams

I thought giving the Type 1 and 2 player a chance to play in both events instead of having to choose.

Sleeping arrangements have been arranged at the church which has showers and a full size gym. I you are planning on attending letting me know in advance so I can plan around it would be great. Also if you have a food preference for the meals let me know that too. We also have 3 pizza places, 1 chinese food, 1 mexican, 2 bar-b-que, Wendy's, McDonalds, Subway, Sonic, and Hardees for the ones who would rather eat out.

So I will be supplying the booster draft and will also have more for sell.  If people want to get real wild and everyone wants to chip in $5 more we can add 3 foils!  Also Rex and I talked about doing a "garbage sealed," which I could do for $5 during our spare time if people are interested!  So bring extra money as we will have lots of options and tons of stock to sell!

Out of curiosity, the Cactus page has this event as well as a District tournament in Knoxville on July 16th. Is that right?

No, someone is a dummy and only checks the church calendar when planning smaller events, even though he helped Rex set up the date and events!

I want to add the three foils and add that any draft players who can't afford it can let me pick a drafted card after the game and I'll cover it (obviously I won't pick a Shipwreck or Second Coming or something like that! Booster is my favourite and the more cards the merrier! And $5 for 3 packs is a great deal!

My brother and I and two from our Youth Group will be coming on Friday and are hoping to be able to stay at the church that night, if that is okay?
