My brother and I have recently starting hosting tournaments in the south FL area and are trying to grow our group and we're also praying and believing for growth. We'd like to impact the secular hobby shop we play at and change the climate & culture there for the better.

In addition to the prize support provided by Catus, we have decided to also give out door prizes and prizes for any one without any RNRS points.  Prizes like play mats, sleeves, dice, posters, deck boxes, single cards, counters, etc. I'd like to be know to be the biggest group of players who give among the other play groups there.

I've got creative with the counters. I went down to the arts & crafts store and found tiny items that are found in  and through out the Bible. For example: tiny bibles, bread, sword, shield, oil, wine, fruit, staff, crown, scepter, scrolls, dove, stones, etc. I found some of these in the section for doll houses (no jokes pls) and some in the woodcrafts section of the store. These would be great for counters. I just wanted to share that, maybe some of you would like to have fun with that, God bless you! 

That actually sounds kind of interesting. How does it work with the oil though? Not sure if I'd want my counters to be doves, but swords sound awesome. Now that I think about it, I'm going to bring a bunch of Lego swords to my next tourney.  Great idea!

Also, blessings on growing your playgroup. I know that one of the hosts in my area routinely gives out prizes for the game nights he hosts at our church. It's really cool to be able to give stuff away to kids who may not win tournaments routinely.

A man after my own heart.  I stole* most of my counters from children, so finding counters in a doll section doesn't seem all that bad in comparison.  (I know, you said no jokes, but I couldn't resist) I agree that you can have a lot of fun with interesting counters (not quite as much fun as you can have with dinosaurs but almost), although I find it more fun if all of my counters are different from each other.  

* Technically they were confiscated not stolen.

I don't know if I'd call Bill a grown man in any sense of the word...

We have to recall King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel 2:32-33 = The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay.

The Great Image was made of 4 metals which represent 4 Kingdoms (3 prophesied to come) of the earth. Babylon which was the present Kingdom of the time ruled by Nebuchadnezzar himself, then the Medo-Persian, Grecian and Roman empires which followed in the order named chronologically. I have Babylonian Banquet Hall which you can guess represents the Babylonian empire.  Then there’s the Media site which is located within the past Medo-Persian empire.  I used Patmos which was in the Grecian empire and finally Roman Prison which represents the Roman empire.  I also have Rome the fortress.  Here’s why…

We’ll have to recount the Great Image in the above paragraph. The legs represent the Roman Empire which was prophesied to split (note the symbolism of the legs of a man).  In 330 A.D. Emperor Constantine moved the headquarters of the Roman Empire from Rome to Constantinople which led to a religious separation in 1054 as the Orthodox church separated from Roman Catholicism.

Daniel 2:44 describes the 10 toes on the Great Image and the coming New Jerusalem.
In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.

The 10 toes represent kings or kingdoms or nations so I decided to run emperors to symbolize this.  I have emperors: Nero, Galba and Vitellius.  I also ran Antiochus Epiphanes who also represents a king & nation and at the same time he represents the anti-Christ because he was a type of anti-Christ.

In Daniel 7:7 King Nebuchadnezzar sees the Terrifying Beast with 10 horns, which also symbolize the 10 nations and kings.  With that I ran The Terrifying Beast of the Rock of Ages expansion.

Jerusalem Tower & Abomination of Desolation
Daniel 9:26 = The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

Mt 24:2 = Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.
Both of the previous scriptures prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem & the temple.  In 70 A.D. the Romans destroy Jerusalem.  I have Jerusalem Tower in the deck to symbolize the reconstruction of the temple (the image depicts this pretty well). It doesn’t seem to strengthen the deck so much, I put it in more for scriptural backing.  If I ever decide to go for more performance (which will take away from the scriptural accuracy of the deck) unfortunately that’s a 1st pick to get canned. 

Daniel 11:31 prophesied the abomination of desolation that the anti-Christ will set up in the temple. So that means that the temple must be rebuilt prior to the anti-Christ offering up his messed up sacrifice and exalting himself.
2 Thes 2:4 = He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

Depict Christ’s return and the millennial (to whoop his butt and set up His Kingdom)
2 Thess 2:8 = And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

Isa 9:7 = Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
