Title: Back-to-Back Tournaments (Long Island NY 10-11 Feb. 2012)

Mr. Rob Anderson has confirmed that he will be in NY City for the NY International Toy Fair (http://www.toyassociation.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=tf_Home) from Feb. 12th. He has graciously accepted our invitation for him and his wife to once more visit us on Long Island but only on Friday Feb 10th (most likely in the evening). We have invited Rob to play with us his favorite tourney category, however, due to the time start for Friday night, he may end up either not playing or just having a casual T1 game with a couple of players --- let us see what happens since other folks also just want to hang around and chat with him and Susan. We have also decided to await the New England group so that they can join us for the planned tourney on Friday evening.

EVENT DAY #1:
Lynbrook, NY-- February 10, 2012 (Friday)
Local Tournament. Host: Roberto Villanova. Venue: The Villanova residence (470 Merrick Road, Lynbrook, NY 11563), but check this posting for updates. Type: Booster Draft ($12.00) OR Type 1 Multi-Player (free) Starts: 7:00p.m. --- start time for T1 Multi might be earlier depending on Rob's decision on whether to play a category or not.

What: DISTRICT TOURNAMENT
Host: Mr. Jordan Gable
When: February 11, 2012 (Saturday). Events begin at 10am.

PHASE 2: Type 1 2-Player ($5)

In preparation for the T2 Only, I would prefer that the T12P and T22P tournaments be run separately, but I'd do the T12P if they end up running at the same time (or I'll be really talented and play BOTH). If the events start at 10, I would almost definitely need a place to stay for the night as it's a 4 hour drive for me from school.

The events offered may only be T1 2P and T2 2P (both are free-of-charge) OR we might have only Booster Draft should plans for Mr. Anderson's visit to Long Island push through on Feb. 10th.

If anyone else from this area wants to tag along, they are more than welcome, though gas money would be appreciated. We would be planning on arriving about 6pm, if the tournaments could hold off until then, and we would need a place to crash Friday night and possibly Saturday night depending on what time we wrap things up.

If you could plan the Friday night event for 7 PM I'm sure our group from MA/CT would be on time for that. I will also be booking a hotel room for 2 nights and anyone ( guys only) who would like to crash with us don't mind some Quality Floor time, is welcome. I get 1 bed and the guys can wrestle over the other one. By the way ... I will be at ToyFair (http://www.toyassociation.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=tf_Home) @ the Javits center on Sunday. ( about 4 hours) Anyone coming with me should plan on an alternate activity to occupy themselves during that time. We will then leave for home sometime between 2-3 pm.

Steve, Booster Draft will definitely be played as one of the events for Saturday. We were talking about it being an option for the planned Local Tourney on Friday evening.

John, if it would help save $ I can confirm free floor space for you and your guys at Dario's place by Friday should they give their 'yes' to me tomorrow. Else, if your prefer to book a hotel that is also perfectly fine.

John M has not gotten back to me yet, so if necessary Roy, could I borrow the cards I need for my T1 and T2 decks? I will need a place to crash as well, and I'm planning on bringing a sleeping bag and pillows.
