Change of Venue!!! The November 5th District Tournament site has been changed.  This tournament will take place at my house.  I live in Mckinney.  2909 Cheverny Drive, Mckinney Texas 75070.  Cheverny Drive is a cross street of El Dorodo Drive.  There is an exit off 75N (Central Expressway) for El Dorodo.  Go west on El Dorodo to Cheverny Drive.  Make a left onto Cheverny.  I am 3/4 mile (2909 Cheverny.

or you can take 121 (heading NE) to Hardin Blvd (head north).  You will pass McNeill Elementary and make a right onto Brittany.  Brittany curves to the left and empties into Cheverny.  Make a left and I am a couple houses down on the left (2909 cheverny drive).

( 9am start time)

My cell is 972 948 2304 if you have questions.  Thanks

And the winners are:  from Arkansas.  Ken O'Malley placed 1st/tie in T1-Multi after winning T1-2 Player.
Adam Sloan won Booster draft and placed 3rd in Type 1-2 Player.

It's good to see these guys in Arkansas.  They compliment our playgroup so well.  We are also looking forward to joining our brothers later in the year for the first Arkansas State Championship.

Jacob Martinez won the T2-2Player event with Marcus Parker taking 2nd place and Marcus finished 3rd in Booster.  Jacob also tied for 1st in Type 1-Multi.  CJ Jackson placed 2nd in T1-2 Player and 3rd in T1-Multi.  Terry Markoff took 2nd place in Booster.

It was a time of great fellowship coupled with some  of the most exciting plays.

A date has not as yet been chosen for December.  I will keep everyone posted.

Yea I'm really liking these guys from arkansas but beware because now I have a new student that I have been teaching who already has a couple of wins on me under his belt. He even beat my genesis joseph regeneration/egyptian lockout deck which I went 15-0 with. Eventually he will come to type 2 but for a while he will be a type 1player. By the way, when and where is the next tournament?

I hope all of you out there have a very merry Christmas and a happy and safe new year.  I am looking forward to hosting our first 2012 District tournament at my home on Jan. 7th.  The events will include both Type 1 and 2 2-Player and Multi-events, Closed Deck and Booster (if enough people are interested).  Please let me know if you are able or interested in attending.  I would also like to know if our Arkansas brothers will be able to come.

There will be Door Prizes as well as a free spagetti luncheon.  Hope to see you all then.

Bro Terry
You like seeing how far I can drive to a tourney, don't ya :)
But since those Arkansas bums are coming,I can't complain.
I'll check mapquest to see if the route I discovered will be easier than takin the LBJ,then H75.
I'll let my friend know it'll be in McKinney instead of Dallas.

First District of the new year on Sat. Jan 7th at 9 am at my home in Mckinney, TX.  New player, Larry L., a friend, fellow brother in Christ, church elder and all around good guy will make his Redemption debut when he plays in the Closed Deck session against last years National Points Champion, Noel Mendoza.

Free spag. lucheon includes TX Toast and salad for those watching their calories.

Hope to see our Arkansas brothers as well as some new folk to our playgroup.

Terry,
The LBJ will be down to ONElane only this weekend. That's one lane for both
directions. That shuts down the way I was going to be going. I'll try next time.
Just try to beat the guys from Arkansas, okay?

Thanks for the info bout the different route. Unfortunately I didn't read it till 8:15 the next
day. However I've used the time to correct one of my decks. Hope Texas won.
God bless yall.

Stephen, we missed you.  It was a great tournament.  But, alas, no one from the great state of Arkansas was able to come.  I noticed that they had scheduled a tournament in two weeks from now.

Closed Deck was won by Xavier Mendoza whiloe his brother Noel, finished second.  Newcomer Larry L. took third place.
Over in Type 2, Jacob won both events with Marcus and Neeka finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Marcus and Larry helped me out immensesly by cooking the speghetti and sauce, TX Toast and preparing the salad for lunch.

CJ won both Type 1 events.   Argghhh.  Thought I had him stopped at 4 Lost Souls when he pulls the Hopper and gives it to me.  Game over.  I finished 3rd in 2 player and 2nd in Multi.  Gio finished 2nd in 2 player and 3rd in multi.  Larry and the 3 kids didn't place in Multi.

We had a great time of fellowship.  The boys (Xavier, Noel and Noah) pulled from packs or traded for Guardians (2), (2) Judas Iscariots, 2 Holy Writs, King of Tyrus, a Destruction and a Grapes and a Mayhem.  They were delighted.  In between rounds, they fished for my koy that I have in my pond.

Hope to see you at the next tournament.
Terry

Thanks Terry. I'm guessing CJ was sleepy as usual. Next time,he shows up let's throw
a bucket of ice cold water on him. That way he loses,he will be wet and wide awake.
When is Feburary tourney?

He was sleepy.  He, Noah and I were paired at one table during Multi play.  He didn't win a Lost Soul until late in the game.  He eventually tied Noah with 4 LS.

i am exploring dates for a Feb. tournament.  It will be a District and offer the usual 6 categories and possibly Teams.

Results of Jan 7th District Tournament was placed in mail today.
