Concert at 2010 Nationals?

If this happens, who is in a band, what is your style of music, who is in your band, how many songs can you do, and do you have a myspace?

My band (The Troubadours, myspace.com/troubadourmusic) is an indie/post-punk/pop band from Nashville TN. Our band members include board members Polarius, Katsu, and myself. We can play a good hour and a half to two hours: about twenty songs.

I'm basically a soloist, and I find musicians who can play as my backup band. I could play an hour or over an hour, however long you'd like. I'm a keyboardist, and the style is usually a keyboard trio, sometimes a more standard rock band (heavily influenced by the 80's). As far as my influences, think along the lines of Bruce Hornsby, Kansas, certain New Wave bands, amongst others.

You can find my MySpace profile in my signature, but it's not much right now. You can, however, find one song I've recorded (a more classical-style song).

Is that German?

Is what German?
Sounds like for some of it the singing is in a foreign language. It sounded somewhat German but with the inflections of a romance language (which would be a common mistake of a non-German speaker).

If you're referring to my song, it's all in English, but some of it is in "old English" (like King James English). It's actually based on a poem by William Blake, but the music is my original composition. I can see how you might confuse some of it with German, because the way the vocalist sings is in a real classical style, almost operatic. Here are the words:

Little lamb, who made thee?
Dost thou know who made thee?
Gave thee life and bid thee feed
By the stream and o'er the mead
Gave thee clothing of delight
Softest clothing, wooly, bright
Gave thee such a tender voice
Making all the vales rejoice
Little lamb, who made thee?
Dost thou know who made thee?

Little lamb, I'll tell thee
Little lamb, I'll tell thee
We are called by His name
For He calls Himself a Lamb
He is meek and He is mild
He became a little child
I, a child, and thou, a lamb
We are called by His name
Little lamb, God bless thee!
Little lamb, God bless thee!

I'm pretty sure that's Shakespearean English and not old English.

FWIW, Wlliam Blake was an English poet, illustraor, engraver, and genuis of the Romantic period. He wrote approximately a century and a half after Shakespeare.

Sample of Middle English...
Quote from: Geoffrey Chaucer (The Canterbury Tales)
Whan that Aprill with his shoures soote
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote,
And bathed every veyne in swich licour
Of which vertu engendred is the flour;
Whan Zephirus eek with his sweete breeth
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth
The tendre croppes, and the yonge sonne
Hath in the Ram his half cours yronne,
And smale foweles maken melodye,
That slepen al the nyght with open ye
(So priketh hem Nature in hir corages),
Thanne longen folk to goon on pilgrimages,
And palmeres for to seken straunge strondes,
To ferne halwes, kowthe in sondry londes;
And specially from every shires ende
Of Engelond to Caunterbury they wende,
The hooly blisful martir for to seke,
That hem hath holpen whan that they were seeke.

Sample of Old English...
Quote from: Unknown (Beowulf)
HWÆT, WE GAR-DEna in geardagum,
þeodcyninga þrym gefrunon,
hu ða æþelingas ellen fremedon!
oft Scyld Scefing sceaþena þreatum,
monegum mægþum meodosetla ofteah,
egsode eorlas, syððanærest wearð
feasceaft funden; he þæs frofre gebad,
weox under wolcnum weorðmyndum þah,
oð þæt him æghwylc ymbsittendra
ofer hronrade hyran scolde,
gomban gyldan; þæt wæs god cyning!
Ðæm eafera wæs æfter cenned
geong in geardum, þone God sende
folce to frofre; fyrenðearfe ongeat,
þe hie ær drugon aldorlease
lange hwile; him þæs Liffrea,
wuldres Wealdend woroldare forgeaf,
Beowulf wæs breme --- blæd wide sprang---
Scyldes eafera Scedelandum in.
Swa sceal geong guma gode gewyrcean,
fromum feohgiftumon fæder bearme,

Let me know if you need a mandolin-player.

Except it wouldn't be. I will not share a stage with Third Day or Kutless (though I could easily get Kutless, I know their manager and guitar player).

Third Day is the absolute worst band EVER. I spent half of high school making fun of the lead singer's HORRIBLE voice.

As an accomplished musician, I will say that Kutless is better than Third Day.

Actually, I will say that ANY band is better than Third Day except Green Day which is equally as bad as Third Day.

Don't exaggerate.  In order to be the "absolute worst band EVER" they would have to be worse than this...

No, the Jonas Brothers' voices at least sound okay after hours of pitch correction.
