Dibs on the couch!

It's a sectional sleep sofa, so I was counting on it sleeping three comfortably. Pick two friends and its yours. Interestingly, it is right in front of the Wii Fit, so imagine all the great exercise you will get will you're here.  ;)

Nationals kills playgroups, it doesn't make them grow.

Well, as far as Florida is concerned... with the combined playgroups of Orlando and Pompano (Although we may have to start calling it Broward and Palm Beach counties =P ), plus a few new prospects down south, you're looking at about a possibility of 15-20 people. Just sayin'.

-C_S
I'm fairly certain our playgroup alone has had 15 people at a district/local tournament in the past. We're one of the newest playgroups in MN (although a lot of old ones have died out). Just sayin'.

Twin Cities regularly has twenty at locals

So that's 40 people in MN alone. As far as location goes, we have Iowa and WI on our boarders as well.

If Rob decides to hold Nationals in MN this year we are ready. The church is reserved, including the Great Hall, Gym, Sleeping rooms, Youth room, Raquetball court, Catering, etc... Rob always seems to make the right decision. He sees the big picture better than anybody and I believe God guides him in that decision. If its not in MN this year that means I get to play and that would almost be as good.

I'll take that as a MN vote.

I actually vote MN this year, with an option to the SE for next year.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I'd agree (and by SE, I mean TN until I see what YMT can do with Orlando regionals this year that he is campaigning for)

There's just no good reason for TN to NOT be in SE region. We go to tournaments in FL and GA and vice-versa, and almost never go to the Carolinas etc. We're part of the south, and we're in the East...so why are we East-Central?

North Central Region only had 30?  we almost had that many at the midwest Regionals.  I figured NC would have had at least 50

I checked my numbers from last year's FL locals and I averaged over 9000!

Nats will be in MN. I need an excuse to visit my Aunt.

I didn't realize this was a competition.  I was merely giving a rough estimate of the number of players in Florida because it hasn't ever really been discussed.

I think the Big Ten referees and Rob had a meeting during the last few seconds of the Music City Bowl and determined that since nothing could be done about kicking Tennessee or Kentucky out of the SEC that for redemption purposes TN and KY would be part of the East-Central region to serve as punishment!  ;)

I was tossing a low estimate because I don't know the real number. I imagine it is closer to 45.

NC Region was down a little last year in terms of attendence, but not overly so, I believe the number was around 50-60. Most players came on Sat, the friday categories were pretty small, to the point that we only had 6 people playing T2 Multi (Thus why I was able to dominate ;) ) It was actually harder to get my T2MP State points last year :)

Fail. Ours was also small last year. I'm pretty sure we had 30 at MN state alone.

It's also not about local numbers, but it's about location in comparison to other playgroups. WI, IA, and Tim are nearby MN too, in addition to the multiple MN playgroups. It's a central location.

I'd vote for SE next year.

I hope it's SE even though I probably won't be able to go. They haven't had one in awhile.

I would really like to see a Nationals in FL either in 2011 and/or 2012.

The South Florida Redemption play group has quadrupled in number this past year. We've hosted on average 1 to 2 local tournaments every month and a district every 3 months. We've also grown from playing out of our homes into impacting two retail stores (which by the way now carry & sell redemption product) which also have tournaments. Nearly 75% of the players travels out of town to district events (District events in Orlando, FL).

We're one of the most influencial and contributing playgroups. If you guys haven't seen YouTube or iTunes, there are videos, interviews, deck techs, we've had an on going webzine dedicated to Redemption throughout FL, trophey events, and more. So Redemption in FL is popping, it's growing, the gears are moving, people are excited, so it would be a good idea to SOW good seed into FL. You reap what you sow right? Give us a chance and you shall see a harvest.
Visit www.Facebook.com/DeckMetrics for deck analyses, even for other games

Just saying, but more playgroups die after Nationals than those that grow.
