Changing your Avatar on the Boards, HOW TO

*I was recently asked this by a couple individuals, thought others might wonder the same thing*

How to use your own picture as your avatar:


Step 1-
     If the picture is online somewhere, copy the image address, proceed to step 4
     If the picture is on your computer, continue to step 2
Step 2-
     Go to imageshack.us
     Click "Browse" and select the photo on your computer that you want to be your avatar.
     Enter your e-mail address if you want the ability to delete this picture at a later point in time.
     For the option "Image Resize:" select "Do not resize".
     Select "no" for "label thumb?"
     Click "Upload now"
Step 3-
     Once it is uploaded, there will be a "List of links to share your image:"
     If you do not have an account, copy the first "Link:"
     Open that link in your web browser.
     Right click on the image, and "Copy image address" (for mac, may be different for windows)
Step 4-
     Log into the Redemption forum, and go to:
     http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?action=profile
     From this page, click on "Forum Profile Information" located on the left side of the screen under "Modify Profile"
     At the top of this page, you will fine the option to choose one of the pre-loaded Redemption avatars.
     Below that, however, there is the choice "I have my own pic:".
     Select that option and copy the internet address of your picture into the text field by the option.
     Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Change Profile"

Congratulations, you now have your own avatar!!!
