Why is the the time on the board always off? It says that it is 5:21:48 PM when actually it is 11:23 AM.

I'm pretty sure that you can change the time somewhere so it's only off by a minute or so...

Profile-->Account Settings-->Modify Profile-->Look and Layout-->Time Offset=-6

That should do it.

Timezones are stupid. The time the clock says means nothing. You get up when the sun is up and sleep when its not. You don't need time zones to do this. There is no reason to not have consistant times across the country if not the world.

I wen't to bed when the sun was rising and woke up at 2 pm. There are plenty of reasons to have time zones.

There are reasons, but you didn't list one. The first one I think of is that if I'm talking on the phone to my friend Mswati III and I want to know where the sun is in the sky in Swaziland, I can ask him the time and do a simple conversion. But if there were no timezones, he'd have to estimate about where it is and it'd be less accurate.

Not to be cliche, but I'm a college student - I don't sleep when it's not up.

My point is that the numbers of the time don't matter. Society can adjust just fine with going to work at 20:00 and coming home at 04:00

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for a Nationals Title, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let me destroy timezones forever, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will troll you.

Time zones or not, when you east-coasters tell us west-coasters to "jump", we'll be telling you "you're high; call us back in three hours".
