people who think religion has a place in science
people who think religion has a place in politics
I hope you're not taking a shot at a lot of people here on the boards.
 Because...
1) It frustrates me that a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is labeled and lumped in with all the other's world's lying belief systems with the term: "religion"

2) Christianity makes someone a new person and changes every aspect about them.  It penetrates all we are and changes our worldview to line more up with God's.  I will be so bold to say that if a relationship with Christ doesn't affect every aspect of a person's life then that person is not a Christian (EDIT: or a VERY immature one).  For "new birth necessitates anticipation of change."  Change of who we are, how we view things, and how we think.

I will always unapologetically look to my faith and communicate with God (prayer) before I vote or stand beside an issue.
I think Science and God (and His Word on it by extension) can coincide and support each other.

I get frustrated with people not knowing how to do their jobs
I get frustrated when I hear TAPS
I get frustrated when the ROE changes every other day...

I'll be praying for you man.  That's some rough stuff right there.  Although I haven't been where you are right now, I can somewhat relate through my experiences with the LE community.  That stuff's no joke and I respect you greatly for your decision; it's much appreciated.  I wanted to go MC myself, but I'm not physical enough to do it, so I respect, if not envy, you.

on the JSB note, religion definitely has a place in politics, because the people that politicians will be governing have religions. so you vote for (if possible) the one who you think has it (close to) correct.

as far as science goes, I agree with you somewhat, but our definitions of science are different. you can't "scientifically" explain creation. you can't "scientifically" explain a lot of things. I really don't rely on science that much. seriously, if you put History higher than science, it's been wrong multiple times.

Christianity > everything else
wrong. Christ>everything else. be as that may, I find it hard to believe that mathematics needs Christ to work, or that knowing Christ even helps with mathematics.

Wow, didn't expect this big a reaction, anyway

1. I worded one of the statements wrong (late night posting fail)
What I meant was
When religion is taught with/as science (or as an alternative to it)

2. I stand by my statement, Religion has no place in politics, especially in America
Ethics have a place in politics but not religion

An unanswered question is infinitely better than an unquestioned answer.

I'd word it this way and then agree:  Politics has no place in religion.

Thanks for the replies concerning things that frustrate you.  Does anyone else have frustrations to share?

If you don't mind, please take your rabbit trails elsewhere.

Christianity includes Christ?
depends on your definition of Christianity.

1. I worded one of the statements wrong (late night posting fail)
What I meant was
When religion is taught with/as science (or as an alternative to it)

2. I stand by my statement, Religion has no place in politics, especially in America

1. yes and no. they would get conflicting messages in every class then. I think that theories just shouldn't be taught in science.

2. I don't think that homosexuality can be proven false without religion. should that affect my vote? not at all. because of what I believe is true, I want others to follow the truth.

Luckly I'm somewhat passive so not that many things gets to me.  However,

1) Being late

2) Having a huge pile of work to do with a deadline and then my boss gives me another assignment.

3) People who harm my precious wife and wonderful kids (physically/mentally/emotionally/spiritually)

4) Seeming that all my efforts to get back closer to God usually fail.

1.) People who talk just for the sake of hearing their own voice.
2.) People who text constantly.
3.) People on bikes who do not follow the laws.
4.) Falling in a 3 foot hole when playing capture the flag at midnight with friends, in chest high weeds. (It seemed like a good idea, at the time. But I'm half limping today... :s)
5.) When nothing entertaining is on TV (which is usually 23.5 hours a day).

Out of respect for Kirk's request, I will not comment on this. Just know that things in your life will suddenly start going wrong, and Mathematics is behind it.....  :o
