wow. welcome to me 5 years ago. although I didn't know of Flyleaf at that time...but I was a LotR fanatic as well.

Actually, under most circumstances imho, it just becomes noise. There is so much 'garbage' (imho) music out there because the singer... I'm sorry, screamer, screams the whole time. I can't understand it, and it's boring and not original to me. I just don't enjoy music like that, and I don't see how others do either.
I also can't stand rap, mostly. I'll listen to some 90's stuff every once in awhile, but tobyMAC is not my favorite... Neither is Corpus Christi, haha.

Sorry if I offended anyone. That's just how I feel. I am VERY opinionated about music.

I feel offended. You listen to the exact opposite type of music I listen to I like screamer, hiphop, and rap. I could never stand a minute with 90's music (exept for maybe The Beatles but that would be it).

The Beatles aren't 90's....
Actually, I listen to a plethora of music, and I don't feel like listing it all here. Led Zeppelin, The Who, Green Day, Skillet, Kutless, David Crowder, Remedy Drive, Incubus, Newsboys... Just to name a few. I couldn't possibly list them all.

I happen to have a passionate hate against Fallout Boy, Boys like Girls, Panic at the Disco, Jonas Brothers and Justin Beiber. I also have a VERY strong dislike for Top 40 stations and everything they represent... But that's for another day.

Wow, this was one of the funniest things I read in this whole forum since I've been on here. Mostly because it's so true.
Yeah, I used to be some sort of A7X fanboy... Then I realized that they really aren't good. Synster Gates is... Eh...
Some real awesome guitarists? I'm going old to new school baby. These guys are EASILY better than any guitar players that play today.

Just to name a few. If we are talking about beautiful music, that isn't just a few chords, type in Heartbreaker by Zep, or maybe Since I've been Loving You. Any Zep song from any album is amazing. They aren't just "chords", they are beautifully written with unbelievable solos to boot.

I have to jump back in this thread to argue this point. I consider A7X to be up there with bands like Dream Theater in terms of musical skill and quality.
