I like actual lyrics and a nice catchy tune that isn't generated by white noise. And if I want to hear growling, I'll go to a zoo, but keep it out of my songs please.I don't understand what kind of effect metal has on other people, but it just makes me more uptight than I can be comfortable with for more than a few seconds. aaaand Metal doesn't really wind me up. if anything, it calms me down. I've got in the habit of listening to it before playing piano for a competition. kills the nerves.

Agreed. Their old stuff was pretty good spiritually, but "Hero" was about firefighters? Not to diss them, but c'mon, you're supposed to be Christian!
