Currently I'm re-reading through the Marvel Civil War comics that I have. I read them in the wrong order the first time so I'm thinking re-reading them might allow me to understand parts that made no sense last time :P

I can honestly say that Pride and Prejudice is the only book I've never finished. I hated it that much.
Ugh, don't even get me started on that book >_>

I'm reading the Minnesota Driver's Manuel. Did you know the sidewalk is for "pedestrians only"? That seems just silly. I'll drive there if I so choose!

Now reading Pseudo-Dionysius' Divine Names, Mystical Theology, and Celestial Hierarchy.

Also, the Star Wars novels are awesome. Too bad I never have time to read them anymore. :(

Well, please don't...

stab me,
light me on fire,
shoot me (both guns and arrows apply),
drug me,
drown me,
push me down a flight of stairs,
run me over with a steam-roller,
set a bear trap in my room,
slip poisonous snakes or spiders into my bed,
drop an anvil or piano on my head,
torture me with Medieval tools,
implant a time bomb in my chest,
or make me watch a movie with Sarah Jessica Parker.
Use the Mad Bomber to rescue his Province.

This thread is nothing more than trying to find the most obscure book you are reading and posting about it in an attempt to "one up" other pretentious people.

SOOO, In my attempt to look smarter and more well-read than everyone else I am reading:
"The Art of War" by Sun Tzu
"The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith
"On the Origin of Species" by Charles Darwin,
"Reconstruction" by Eric Foner,
"The Three Trees" Retold by Angela Elwell Hunt (that one always makes me cry)

There.  Top THAT!

In my defense, most of the books I've posted so far are the only things I'm reading at the moment... yay for university. :P

Uh... you do realize that about half of those thinkers have no surviving texts for you to read, right?
