Amidst the Spate of Incredible Playmat Ideas ....

Blessings.

I have seen on the Redemption Market such wonderful playmat designs that I myself intend to purchase finished products when they are available.

I did have a design that I have kept for more than two years already.  I am not sure if it's worth producing, but I would want your honest opinions and suggestions on the design, if I did decide to produce some.  The mats should complement my ReyZen pouches that are already owned by several card game players, Redemption or otherwise.  The pouches will not be re-produced and one day they will be out-of-stock forever.

Main Playmat specs ---
Size: 14" x 24"
Make: soft, sturdy 'gaming mat' quality with rubber bottom; sleek 1/16 mat thickness for easy roll-up
Imprint type: dye sublimation
Estimate cost: $15
Concept: 'Proelium!' means 'Battle!'. The graphic symbolizes battle between good and evil, between heaven and hell.  Like my avatar, I've always tried to depict my angel as victorious but realistically fatigued and even wounded from the battle.  Note my message board avatar -- an angry angel with feathers falling off.  The angel depicted on my playmat is ultimately victorious but with one of his wings already broken.

You may wish to comment and give suggestions for my other two designs that I made before the one that I was pondering on whether to produce or not.

Please, your honest thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks and Godbless.

Like I said in the other thread, you may want to add a basic suggestive position for "deck" and "discard."  You already have an obvious place for "Land of Redemption."

I would prefer a Redemption picture, but I would likely buy extras from you for my playgroup, small tournament seating, or teaching purposes.
I can buy more of yours because of affordability.

@ Ken and Travis:  don't worry, I still plan to buy 3 or 4 of the more expensive mats with the Redemption pictures.

To all, maybe it's just me but I like all these mat ideas.

Hey Roy! God bless you

I think the colors are amazing, the fire and sky are very beautiful and the contrast is very nice.  I don't think you need a suggestive spot for deck & discard pile...unless this is geared for a newbie.  What is Proelmm or Proeinm?  The price is good.  I would buy this for myself or to bless others with as a door prize or something.

Thanks Jon D!  Wow it took more than two years for me to finally  dig up the design from my archives, hahaha.  'Proelium' is Latin for 'battle'.

Jon G. --- I purposely made the mat design so as not to dictate any specific place to put cards, thus is flexible not only for regional preference but also neutral enough to be used by non-Redemption players.  I designed it with the thought that my MTG players on Long Island might be interested, too.

Thanks for your inputs so far, guys!

Godbless,
ROY

Latin for battle huh?  I think Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek would be cool too!

They're pretty cool-looking, but they're not really play mats so much as a cool graphic cards may or may not go on. Also, they seem to be formatted for California style, which almost nobody plays and is widely regarded to be less streamlined than the rulebook standard.

Which playmats, Daniel, mine?  Coz we were discussing mine and they do not have card layout format.

I know there's no format, but the color design pretty clearly indicates good on one side and evil on the other.

lol -- oh yes, I did not realize that.  No intention at all to connote CA card layout style tho.
