I'm looking to get a PC soon, (dont know when exactly) and I wanted to get some advice. Also any suggestions on a different PC to get that is still near this price, I would be thankful.
here is one I looked at, and I couldnt find much about it. I was wondering if anyone had one, and if/what problems are with it.

What is your actual price range?
What is your planned use for the computer?
High end graphics gaming
Checking FB and email
Watching movies
Word processing
Do you care about new vs. used?
Will you be moving around with this all the time, or will you usually be at home with it?
-
Price Range: about $90 or less
Plans: well, FB, games, movies. not like super games that need lots of stuff. just sites like Kongregate and stuff. but everything else, yea.
Condition: I dont really care, as long as it still works well, and is affordable
I'll probabally use it at home for the most part.

Is that 90 or 900?

90
I don't know how long it would take, but you would gain a lot by simple holding your money and saving up until you hit around 200-300. At that range, you tend to get much safer purchases that will last you longer.

I think it's better than the computer I'm using now. Im using the origanal HP Pavilion as a computer at the moment. We got it brand new. If I take care of it like I have this one, It'll last long enough to get a good new one.

Ok ill take the bait... I have to know.... What operating system are you running? Because the ORIGINAL was released in 1995 and ran Windows 95....

My step dad put XP on it around 2000.

It's really hard to find anything at that price range, but I might have found something better:

Price Processor Hard Drive RAM
Amazon you were looking at $93 1.6 GHz 40 GB ??
This one on Ebay $66 2.66 GHz 24 GB 512MB
This is an OLD computer, but a lot newer than what you're using, and should be able to do the kind of stuff you're talking about.

ok. Thanks Mr.Underwood.

save your money man, even a netbook is a better option
-
that could take me a good two years. lol.

I'll go ahead and jump on board with everyone else and suggest that you shop around. I definitely wouldn't consider buying a laptop new at the price range, as you'll be much more likely to find an older (but capable) machine used. If you have a computer monitor, I have a decent laptop from a couple years ago I could let go for cheap (the screen is unusable).
-
at your price point you might be better off looking at something like a rasberry pi computer
-
would a normal computer monitor work, Chris? Or do I need a laptop screen? and can you replace the screen with another?
-
It had both HDMI and VGA outputs, so you would be able to use pretty much any monitor or HD television. I'll look and see what a reasonable asking price for it would be, I can't imagine it being more than $90, and the overall computing power is going to be more than what you'll find anywhere else (I would guess). Send me a PM if you're interested, and if we work something out, Alec or someone can confirm you're getting a solid deal. :)

I would need to know the model number for that.
