Next, I expect to hear Brett Favre will retire finally midseason, just to avoid even more interceptions.

No, the prima donna QB stays; only the coach goes. Just ask Jimmy Johnson (no, not the race car driver; the white haired guy).

I want to see Brett Favre coach the Vikes as a publicity stunt.

I didn't understand Raven's comment at all. Lol

He deserved to be fired. It's obviously not Brett Favre's fault.  ::) hehe

In other news, the Colts got owned, and in the Giants/Eagles game, someone almost died. Just sayin'.  ;D

In other news, the Colts got owned, ...

"Owned" is not really the word. The Colts lost by 3, and were driving for the game-winning TD in the closing seconds. They were actually in field goal range when Manning threw the game-ending interception.

As a Patriots fan, I did enjoy the way that our offense was able to move the ball. We are finally hitting our stride as the season winds down. Tom Brady may finally be over his injuries, domestic issues, and feud with Justin Beiber about his hair.

It's not a good day to be a football fan in Ohio, either.

The Jags give up the ball SIX TIMES and still beat the Browns.

The Bengals were up SEVENTEEN at halftime and lost BY EIGHTEEN.  To BUFFALO.

What a mess.

Childress got too much credit for the Vikings success (see last year's contract extension) and is probably taking too much blame for their failures. However, he had little control over the players and many players simply had no respect for him. While it's unfortunate to see someone lose their job, it's part of what you sign up for in professional sports, and it's not like he'll be pressed for cash anytime soon. My guess would be that he knew he was getting fired at some point, and now it's almost a relief.

YMT, They were getting owned pretty much the entire game UNTIL the comeback, which wasn't actually a comeback because they still lost. The entire game, up until the want-to-be-comeback was clearly being controlled by the Patriots.

Also, how many fumbles were in that 2nd half of the Eagles/Giants game? That was crazy....

Let me clarify that I watched the whole game.... every minute. The game was close at halftime, and close again at the end of the game. Manning is notorius for giving his best effort when time is of the essence. Either that, or the Colts are just simply that awesome in the no-huddle offense.

I was on the phone with my parents, who still live in New England, about an hour from Foxboro. At no time did Patriots fans feel like we had the game under control, especially after last year's debacle. In fact, if it wasn't for the Rudy-like heart of a 5'8" former Division II player, the Patriots may not have won at all.

Regardless, Manning threw for 4 TDs and almost 400 yards. They lost because of a bad throw. That hardly qualifies as being "owned."

Wait. Everyone hating on Favre.. HE ISN'T THE PROBLEM. It's the Offensive Line! If he had actual protection that lasted longer than 1.2 seconds he might actually be able to get the ball to his WR's. Don't hate Favre cause it sounds flat out dumb.

And I'm happy that Childress is gone and all but why didn't they fire him sooner instead of waiting till the last possible minute?

Yeah, why hate Favre, he's only hung around long past the expiration date.  The offensive line may be middle-of-the-road this year but while Favre is second-to-last in QB rating, AP is the #2 running back in the nation.  Runners need linemen too.

Tom Brady wouldn't be where he was without his offensive line that actually protects him. Just sayin.

You can say that of pretty much any quarterback.  It's true that Brady is more of a game manager type of guy, while Favre is a gunslinger, and Brees is just a machine.   But anybody could be a good quarterback if they had al day to throw.  And like I said, if the o-line was the cause of the Vikings woes, AP wouldn't be the beast he is now.
