Upgrading an old PC.

I am upgrading an old pc to play low end games but the graphics card is a little underpowered. Does anyone know what the "best" graphics card for a PCI (1.0) slot would be?

Lite Brite

Dude, it's time for a tournament! I've got about 6-10 new players that are eager for their first tournament. I'll need to hold an impromptu soon, since they won't be able to wait 6 weeks. I also need to plan long-term. What weekdays would work for you? Are there any Saturdays that are out for you?

PCI Express x16 2.0 is backwards compatible with 1.0 so you can use some relatively modern cards.

depends on the rest of your parts, no point buying a good graphics cards if you're gonna get bottlenecked by your CPU/RAM and considering it's a PCI E 1.0 board I suspect you might.

Random update:

CPU: Intell Pentium 4 3.00 GHz (dual core)
3.50 gb of RAM (It would be 4 but one of the sticks i bought was bad...)
Graphics card (pci 1 slot): RADEON X600 (0x5B62)
Pixel Shader version             2.0
Vertex Shader version          2.0
Dedicated Video RAM            256 MB

I'm mostly looking at upgrading the graphics card since it'd be the easiest to give it a gaming boost.
