Your not part of the older crowd until you can't count higher than your age.

Disregard that, if that was the requirement I'd be part of the older crowd (but thats just because I go to school in Minnesota).

Happy Birthday!  ;D

You only get to be part of the "older crowd" if you know the number of the robot from Short Circuit without looking it up somewhere.  ;)

To be part of the "really old crowd" you would have to produce an 8-track tape of Johnny Cash or the Beach Boys from a milk crate in your garage.

So I can't be in the old crowd but I can be in the really old crowd? (Dad: record collector, over 40K records).

O_O; I've been part of the older crowd since 14? (Yay short circuit. I don't wanna be a GUN!)

So I can't be in the old crowd but I can be in the really old crowd? (Dad: record collector, over 40K records).

Let me clarify - you had to drink the milk that came from the glass bottles that were stored in the milk crate that the milkman delivered to your door. That's where the milk crate in your garage had to come from.

#5 Alive!

FYI,you have to meet both criteria: age limit and movie recollection. There are plenty of youngins who know the answer (due to nostalgic parents) and plenty of 20 year olds who don't even remember Ronald Reagan. In order to be part of the "older crowd," you have to remember meaningless trivia and have a birth certificate that is signed by a real person.

I was born in '81, but I never saw Short Circuit. :p And I don't think my parents ever listened to Johnny Cash, though I do remember finding one of my dad's 8 tracks of Steve Miller Band.

Anyway, happy birthday, Colin!

To be part of the older crowd, you have to remember leisure suits. Bonus points if you actually wore one. Double bonus points if it was lime green.

*sighs*  Ah the good old days when Neal Diamond was considered 'death metal', and the kids in the neighborhood did not have to worry about strangers.
