Is that a different symbol on the card?  A treasure chest?

Great article, Bryon.  But if someone drafts him after they already have the Caleb band, I will blame you.   :D
I would assume so since it is called Treasures of the Past....

P.S. Even if this new Philistine Garrison says "Discard all of opponent's heroes in play. Cannot be negated." I'm not too excited unless Philistines get some kind of protection from ET with AoCP.

What if Phillistine Garrison says something like "As long as this character is in play, all Phillistines are immune to all good cards.  Cannot be negated."

Since Bryon mentioned negating his ability using Might of Faith, I can safely say that his ability is neither of the above...

He's probably immune to lone heroes or something.

Lol? If he said that, then what would you need protection for?  :D

The previous card had an oasis symbol, though... why the change?

That was for the territory class enhancement. The little treasure chest in the bottom corner is the same on both cards.

Hey,

I personally like the card, and will prolly add it to my Red Banding deck. But like Bryon eluded to with "The Might of Faith," one card can't fix the brigade. This card is a huge step in the right direction to helping Red out, and now am looking foward to seeing what the Red Enhancement that can only be used by Warrior Class Heroes does to help fix Red....

You are of course correct, and not being a playtester, I have no idea what the real ability is.  I was just trying to point out to Bubbleboy that there are some possibilities that would excite him even if there weren't a protection fortress.

Secondly, I think it would be cool to have the protection of the Phillistines to come from a character instead of just another fortress like all the other civilizations.  It makes the game more interesting :)

Maybe the playtesters are tired of making every Fortress provide protection.  What if they found something else really cool to do with a cultural Fortress?
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

If Philistine Garrison reads like Army of Simenites, or Men of Juday, then ET with AOC would only send it away for one turn and it would come back with slightly less numbers... not immune, but still not destroyed by it...

He would be the only survivor. I would like to keep Twelve Fingered Giant and Philistine Priests if possible.

Since when is ET with AoCp this godlike entity in Redemption? It's not that good. Your aware that it nukes his defense too, right?
