Westerns were everyday life,
Our "toys" were made in America and took the form of mud-pies and stick swords,
It was ok for parents to punish their children,
Bathing required a long trip to the well,
We had to read books to learn things, not run to Google,
Food was scarce,
Microwaves came from the sun,
Every sickness was treated with Castor Oil,
I had to draw new pictures in order to "change" the channel,
Children played outside from the time they woke up until bed time,
And, the best "show" to watch was the neighbors fighting.
