The final rankings reveal how each team finished the season. However, it is more important to look at how each opponent was doing at the time that Florida and Utah played each opponent as that truly dictates how good each team was that Florida and Utah beat at the time that they played each opponent. Florida beat the #1 team in the rankings in back to back games (Alabama and Oklahoma) and they beat #4 LSU earlier in the season. Utah beat #12 TCU and #14 BYU before playing a reeling #4 Alabam team in their bowl matchup.Kirk
