I don't think any one team has really shown themselves to be definite playoff teams. However, Tampa Bay has been really good and even though they have the Yankees to deal with I would say they atleast make the playoffs as a wild card.  The AL West is crazy this year, each team does good for a few games then slumps. It will be tight to the very end.

I made the following predictions before SPRING TRAINING started

NYY over Minny in 5
BoSox over Angels in 4

NYY over BoSox in 5


Philly over Rox in 3
Dodgers over Cards in 5

Dodgers over Philly in 4



Dodgers over NYY in 6




Other predictions:
AL MVP: Longoria (Runner Up: Miggy)
NL MVP: Pujols (Runner Up: Fielder)
NL CYA: Halladay (Runner Up: Nolasco)
AL CYA: King Felix (RUnner Up: Liriano)
AL MOY: Wakamatsu (Runner Up: Gardy)
NL MOY: Bobby Cox (Runner Up: Colletti)

It could be, but is unlikely beings the Twins weren't in the playoffs two years ago.

The NYY don't have Johnny Damon any more ,so thats at least one power hitter gone

Robinson Cano, dont'cha know?
Granderson, Gardner, Nick Johnson and Thames. We lost Damon b/c his agent is selfish, but got 3 new younger, good hitters, and with Gardner and Cano filling their shoes up we are better than last year.
Along with Swisher moving up in the lineup and hitting better, also the pitching rotation is stronger than last year with the addition of Aceves, and Vazquez.
I say NY for a repeat. Rays are doing good now, as are the Mets, and Nationals are not even doing bad, so I would not judge by this early in the season to say who goes to the playoffs. It will probably be the same teams that always make it, Dodgers, Cardinals, Yanks, Astros, Phillies, Angels, Red Sox, yada yada you know.

Cincy looks good for the first few weeks, and then they generally fall apart right before the All-Star Break, and continue the massive plunge after that. As a life-long Reds Fan I've gotten used to it

Its almost surely going to be NYY, BoSox, Minny, LAA, LAD, Philly, Rox, and Pujols.

Worst umpires strikezone for the year easily goes to the guy who did the opening day game for the M's and A's.  At one point there were 5 pitches that hit right in the middle of the strikezone and he only called 2 a strike

A few days ago, Detroit v. Twinkies, the home plate ump was awful too. They'd be missing 7, 8 inches off the plate and still get the strike called. Liriano could have tried to intentionally walked everyone and got a perfect game with 27 Ks.

There was also that extra inning game where Rauch blew his first save.... the ump wanted to go home so he called a runner out on second to end the game, despite being clearly safe by 6 inches.

 


 Yeah,I was't sure why the umps were doing such a horrible job,the umps at the red sox orioles game were okay,but they could have made better calls.

My Dodgers are just AWFUL!  They lose at home starting their best pitcher against some nobody from the worst NL team the past ten years (Pirates) and get shut out?!?!?  Ugh!  Where's Manny when you need him?

 

 I don't watch alot of dodger's games,but I do know they have alot of talent,and will probaly staighten out during the later season and at least make the play-offs.
