just got my preorder 10 minutes ago. it's basically amazing.
on a side note, I saw them twice in one week... September 5th at Lifelight music festival, and September 11th at Norwestern College. basically amazing both times. but TFK9/11 was the first time they had played Welcome to the Masquerade live, so... it takes the cake, although, there was no moshing at that concert...
TFK IS AMAAAAZING!!!!!!!!!

it's better then Awake, IMO. but I'll always side with TFK over Skillet...

sorry, but the flame in all of us is better than this and awake. though awake puts up a strong second, and welcome to the masquerade gets last out of anything tfk. sorry, but is a pile of junk. i could only stand 3 songs, the rest just sounded stupid imo.

Flame in All of Us may be better, that's debatable, but a pile of junk??!! Welcome to the Masquerade, Fire it Up, E for Extinction, Scream, Look Away... I basically love the whole CD! minus Bring Me to Life (as the verses are almost identical to Welcome to the Masquerade) and Watching Over Me. and Already Home is kinda like Wish You Well, but I still love it. Out of Control is slightly below par though.
and where did the Flame in All of Us come into the discussion? that came out two years ago... if we want to start talking albums, I could say D.C. Talk's Greatest Hits and it'd be the end of the discussion...

I've listened to about half of it so far... my thoughts.

Intro/Title track are the only ones that have truely stood out to me. Fire it Up kinda bores me.

*EDIT*

Track by track review from me, out of 10:

Intro/Title track. 10 - Awesome.
Fire it Up. 5 - Boring.
Bring me to Life. 6 - Ehh, its ok.
E For Extinction. 7 - Decient rocker.
Watching Over Me. 5 - Boring.
The Part that Hurts the Most. 8 - Good, but still a bit repetetive.
Scream. 8 - Good.
Look Away. 7 - I like the acoustic guitar.
Forward Motion. 5.5 - Meh, kinda bland.
Outta Control. 8 - I like the guitars in this one.
Smack Down. 6.5 - Too repetetive.
Already Home. 8 - A nice change of pace.

Final Average: 7.

Overall, good, but like many other similar bands, they REALLY need to start  breaking away from the (intro section, chorus, verse, chorus, verse/intense part, chorus, chorus) song structure, and begin making something more unique and memorable.

you know something around the 10 minute mark 4 different guitar solos some voice wailing and 4 different drum solos  ::) *goes to itunes and sees what lambo is listening to* Oh look at that dream theatre  :-*

they did decent.... phenemon is their best album to date so...

maybe i should listen to it again... idk, and you cant compare hip hop/rap to hard rock. that is just plain WRONG! lol

it is not hip hop/rap. Set it off was... Set It Off is their worst album to date... except... it has Puppet. which is awesome. and When in Doubt, but alot of people don't agree with me on the fact that it's an awesome song.

Whos Dream TheatRE? I only know of a Dream TheatER.  :D

Also yeah, DT is a good example of how breaking that same old cookie cutter song structure can massively improve songs.
