Tell me if this is dumb...

Well, I had this idea about a "Newbie Online Tourny" which would be for all New,Jr, and Full members to play in for some good exp in the game.

How it would work, all New members would play each other same with Jr. and Full but, ever person in the game must play 1 person of higher rank then them (aka New vs Jr. and Jr.vs Full) once a week.

I'll explain more about it I just wanted to know if I was being stupid...

It's not stupid, but the board status really has nothing to do with player skill whatsoever. It's based entirely on post count.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

That would be kind of funny. I'd say the post-count skill level relationship is almost an inverse (with notable exceptions). Many of the people who post frequently, myself included, would probobly not do very well.

Sounds like an interesting idea, though for the most part post count and player skill are unrelated.  People with high post counts are generally more likely to be more experienced players though.  If you do it, can I make a new account and play? ;)  Don't worry, I haven't played Redemption since last Nationals

It sounds to me like a fun idea, sort of like another Jacob's Ladder, but with another factor of randomness thrown in.  It would be cool to see which New/Jr. members would turn out to be really good players.

I am officially going on record as stating, "I don't like tournaments that exclude people."  I don't think that is what Jesus Christ/God is about.  I don't think that is Rob Anderson's idea when he made the game.

I would rather see a "Redemption Mentoring" program, if anything.  Something where an experienced player creates a less-powerful/weak deck to help teach less experienced players strategies and to talk them through the game.  Like mid-game to say, that is a bad idea.

No segregation of any kind.

I'm not doing that In anyway! This is a "Training Online Tourny" for the best reasons of getting people that don't play well or have good deck building skills ready for online tournys and to help them with those things.

Really the tourny it self would be nothing without the best players cause they would be what every one would try to beat (after this I'm going to give how it all goes down).

But no one is being left out and really i have to say it really isn't injoyable for the better plaers when the other guy is doing everything wrong and they have to explain EVERYTHING to them (I've been there (I was the guy asking) ).

So this " Training Online Tourny".

Here's how EVERYTHING works:

I find the people with small to little no play time or posts by years and Board rank they will play with 1 Full,Sr, or Hero member (you can sign up) to give them advice or ask questions or just little tips.

These Hero,Sr,full member will be that Teams Guide or TG as the case (NOTE this is not something will you will have to be on at all times or have to get on alot or anythiing your just the guy who might answer a few questions or play a practice game with some one).

Now each player will be taken off to teams

New Members (less then a year to 2 years) Team 1

Jr. Members (less then a year to 4 years) Team 2

Full members (more then a year to 5 years) Team 3

(Now I've thought it over and everyone CAN JOIN but the teams for the people with less game time or skill)

For members Sr. and Hero they are just in for the the chance to work on getting better or make deck building think tanks or just be there to have fun.

Every week the New,Jr, Full members play each other and as the last game you play YOU MUST play someone with a higher rank then you (New vs Jr, Jr vs Full, Full vs Sr or hero).

This goes on for about a month then the next month it's free for all and anyone can play anyone but can only play 5 games (this is to see how much they improved).

and that's how it goes I'm still working on it but I think it be a good way to get new players ready for tournys and just help them get better at the game
