This fail was so worthy that I thought that it deserved a report.

I was playing with my Disciple deck and played Sorrow of Mary and my opponent had Sog and angel so I underdecked sog. On his turn he went out with Matt and drew three, I blocked with Sabbath Breaker and drew 3 and played Balaam's. Then I realized that I had Foreign Wives in my territory, then I realized that he had Angel, then I realized that I had failed. Later I found out that I had Vain Philosophy in my hand and I could of underdecked Angel.

That is a professional fail.

At nationals, I went to play Mayhem against John Earley and played Vain Philosophy instead. Then I played Mayhem. Fail.

At nationals, I DoN'd Golden Cherubim so I could play Pretension and he couldn't search. I throw down Pretension and realize that Golden Cherubim is CBN. Fail.
However, I then realized that Sabbath Breaker was the only EC in my territory (I had a Pharisee in hand that I was originally intending to put down, but didn't for whatever reason) and I couldn't draw off Pretension anyway. Two fails make a win?

At nations against John Early, he makes a rescue against me with The Strong Angel.  Neither of us realize that he's negated because of the punisher soul, so I block with proud pharisee (planning to play tenants kill the son, but I would have played Just a Hireling which I also had in my hand if I had realized it wouldn't be prevented), and he immediately plays grapes, since we didn't realize I had a play first.  Both of our Sons of God are on the bottom (sorrow of mary on his, revealer on mine), so shuffling the deck is a big deal here.  This wouldn't have been so bad, except that I also had Herod's temple out, and completely failed to realize I had no reason to let him kill proud and shuffle his deck (and to make it even worse, I knew my SoG and NJ were both on the bottom (both hit by the revealer), so there was zero risk with activating HT).  I end up losing because he draws his Son of God on a draw 1 with about 10ish card left in his deck, the next turn I would have won without SoG.

It's on the video report (which nobody else has seen yet). It also didn't matter that much (I would have lost the battle either way), it just messed with my mind.
