Apparently that's the reason the rumors of his demise are floating around now, that his ankle still isn't right from the beating he took in that last game.

I was wondering about that because he was sacked 5 times and knocked down several more.  But his non committal stance in the media so far makes me think that he is jsut grandstanding again.

I think he can still play (he has proved that) I just detest this "all about me" showboating before the season.

Difference between football and cheap shots though.  These were cheap hits and the NFL usually does a good job of protecting the QBs.

Cheap or not, at his age the damage is allready done when the shot is levied.  And he cant take much more of it so he should probably keep his head down and not try to attract so much attention..

He should try and go out with a little dignity, but I get the feeling he'd rather get (More) injured and blame someone else for ruining the rest of his football career...  He just doesn't seem to be able to give it up by himself.  Football Addicts Anonymous anyone?

Haha, but then he'd retire for a year and come back.
