Never have I felt so blessed to learn more about my heritage...I am still trying to figure out whether the coat was commissioned because of Miles Coverdale or others...it was worth every penny...have a look!

Shield: Per chevron nebulee Gules and Argent
- Chevron- signifies protection, granted as a reward to one who has achieved notable enterprise, work of faithful service, or built churches or fortresses
- Gules (Red)- fire, fortitude
-Argent(Silver)- peace, nobility

The Lion- symbolizes deathless courage, bravery, and liberality. A heraldic bearing in Northern Europe

That's Cool.  I have also been interested in looking up my families heritage and trying to find our old coat of arms, but I have no idea where to start.  All my attempts point me towards a german heritage but I don't trust the sources where I got the info.
