I don't know much about Disney Channel country music, but I think this is part of a bigger issue. Kanye West was like "this is some little white girl, I can say whatever I want." Just like Joe Wilson who yelled "you lie" at Barak Obama, he didn't respect the presidency because Obama is black, and thought he could do whatever he wanted.

Another important question that can be raised: where are the extratarestrials who gave Kanye West that haircut? When will they be held accountable?

To yell out in the middle of a presidential address like that is very disrespectful of the presidency, and I don't believe Joe Wilson would have screamed insults during one of President Clinton's addresses, just like I don't think Kanye would have grabbed the mic from Rihanna.

I'm not saying Rep. Wilson or Kanye West were wrong in what they stated (I actually agree with them both), I just feel there was a common reason in why they showed no respect for the speaker and felt it was okay to interject.

I'm pretty sure that comparing an arrogant rapper to a senator is pretty ridiculous. Just because a black rapper had his reasons for interrupting Taylor Swift's award... I don't think that applies to a white senator.

Also... maybe he said that Obama was lying... because Obama was lying? Obama has said things in the past that completely contradict what he was saying in that meeting... I don't think saying he is a racist is accurate. There's always the option that the speaker actually disagreed... throwing in the "you must be racist" argument is something that the liberal news stations use all too often.

However, I agree. It wasn't right to interrupt the president. But I think to say he did that out of racism is pretty rediculous.

I don't believe Joe Wilson is any better than Kanye West in this instance, even if he was a Senator (which he isn't). And I think anyone who can see racism in what Kanye West did, but not what Joe Wilson did, is racist also.

It is understandable to me that Joe Wilson wouldn't like President Obama's healthcare policy or that Kanye West wouldn't like that girl's country music, but the shocking lack of respect is what leads me to believe their actions had deeper motives.

I disagree with some of Obama's policies and that is what is suppose to happen in a democracy, the accusations of racism come from the complete lack of respect for the presidential office that it would take to jump up and SHOUT: YOU LIE! in the middle of the PRESIDENT'S address. If you disagree that is fine but regardless you owe the man some respect as President of the United States.

The last person that disrespected Bush like that just got out of prison a few weeks back. Impeach Joe Wilson.
