just got done cracking two texp boxes...

...and the first 2 packs of my first box had back to back mayhems.

that box also contained a grapes and a pack with 3 texp foils. lucky box. :)

the 2nd box wasnt so hot, just pretty much a mayhem.

on another note, i noticed the collation of this set is HORRIBLE; i was getting the exact same combination of texp foils. for instance, in every pack of my mayhems, it was coupled with a gates of hell. blah.

yeah, but i got multiple combinations of the same cards that i sincerely doubt i have a full set between the two boxes, which is what it should normally be at. in fact, i know i didnt, because i know i didnt pull a single philistine outpost...

btw MKC the cards are NOT grouped like that. i pulled 2 overwhelmed by phillstines  with defent other cards in there.oh also how many DONs and GOYS did you pull?

In my first several packs of TexP, I noticed that they often came in pairs. I got three Gomers together with three Well Reopened, and two Large Trees each with a Herod's Dungeon (or was it Kir?). I also remember getting a GoH together with a Mayhem. I wonder why that happens? I also know it's not always the case, because I also got a few instances of "unpaired" duplicates (oxymoron? maybe).

Not all TexP boxes have foils packed with the same pair of card together (ex: Mayhem + Gates).  I've seen some that do and some that don't.  I agree that it is frustrating when you get several packs that do.

my first mehey and grapes where in the same back along with 3 ultra rares but i got 6 packs the other day and i got maybe 2 cards i need. I have yet to see magic charms, and a whole bunch of others

I think that's long been the case with Redemption though. I've opened the same Patriarchs pack (sometimes with different R/UR) so many times, I can almost tell you all the cards I get. I know that Dream, Sarah's Beauty, Abel's Sacrifice, Hagar and Angel at Shur, Boaz (or maybe Isaac?), and a few others are in it. Priests is somewhat similar. I'm not sure what the reason is, but it doesn't really bother me too much, especially with a new set, since most duplicates can be traded for others to complete the set.

patriachs is actually one of easiest sets to map out. every pats box was either an 'A' box or 'B' box, with 6 of the exact same ultra rares being in A box and the other 6 being in the B box. i remember back in the day where you could name any one of the ultra rares, and kory lentine would reach into the box of sealed boosters and pull out the exact booster pack with the ultra you wanted. it was pretty cool to see him do that for little kids. :)
