Sorry, folks, but I find humor in so many places...

...but this one takes the cake!   :laugh:

Considering the controversial subjects and game rulings that have popped up on the boards recently, I was very curious what Wikipedia had to say about the Apostle, Paul.  I had a hard time containing my laughter here at work when I read this statement which can be found here:

"Marcus J. Borg and John Dominic Crossan wrote "Luke insists that Paul was a Roman citizen, but Paul himself does not mention the claim, he in fact seems to negate it."

It's because Luke wrote Acts. You're looking at historical criticism, not Biblical based theology. Many scholars, for instance, think that Mark did not believe Jesus to be God in flesh. When doing theology, however, we're concerned with different things.

Marcus J. Borg and John Dominic Crossan need to be told that identifiers cannot be negated.
