I was excited when I saw them and came here to post them but you beat me to it!

For those that didn't see the set on Facebook, here's the gist on False Prophet's TexP icon: "Note that the False Prophet card has a different icon. It has a Treasures icon because the card in not part of the early church theme though included in the mix. There are a couple of these in Phase 1. They are special chase cards if you will."

I, for one, can't wait until only purple and clay decks are viable. The Old Testament is boring anyway!

What was wrong with the artwork on the old Rhoda? That would have been much better.

It would be nice if these special cards had an UR border to distinguish them from the other cards and actually make them feel like they are harder to find.
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?

Probably because his power comes from the Beast. It's similar to the reasoning behind Damsel With a Spirit of Divination.

I really want to know what Widows' Tables does. I wonder if it's like Musicians' Chambers.

I wonder if the 'chase' cards really are chase and harder to find.

I was wondering if NoA and TFP are indicating the possibility of an unconditional CBN convert card, which the game sorely needs to keep the convert ability viable.

I guess Chamber of Angels will be useful to recur AuTO Angelic Visitor.  ;)

Yes Chamber of Angels will recur Angelic Visitor, but if you have Chamber out and use Angelic Visitor's self discard ability it will be insteaded to Chamber and he won't be able to search your deck.

Is it just me, or is The False Prophet worded oddly?

"Negate good Convert."

Shouldn't it be "Negate good Convert abilities." or "Negate good Conversion"?

I understand that thought, but it is probably that way for two reasons: First, it is already a very long ability.  Second, it means the same thing.

You don't necessarily need the word "abilities" for that to be implied, it is fine how it is.  Anything that is good and converts qualifies as "good Convert".

It isn't grammatically correct and bugs the crap out of me though.

New redemption lingo:

Negate convert.

Discard any card in.

Holder may reveal.

Search deck for a.

I'd be less bugged by it if it said "Negate good converts." Plural makes it at least make more grammatical sense, and not having "convert" randomly capitalized since it normally isn't (and also isn't on another card in the exact same set) would make it passable imo. Would still prefer the standardized "convert abilities," though.[/grammar nazi]

The main issue I have is that it creates confusion when there's no need to have it. People who aren't on the boards get this card, and assume it's a misprint. Does it negate convert abilities? Convert enhancements? Heroes with convert abilities?

I think it should say "Negate good Conversion...". That would move "in" down a line and possibly "from" which would make it look more even anyway.

I would still just prefer to have "abilities" in there, but I'm way more okay with this than I am with what's printed.

That would also work. Don't get me wrong, I am beyond pleased that we're getting such a large set of new cards, I just can't help but nitpick, lol.

So we have the grammatically incorrect False Prophet, and the offensive Judaizers. Who are the illiterate racists that are making the new set anyway?  :o   ;)

Minnesota has been progressive lately so we know it's not them. Isn't Rob from Virginia? That'd do it.

So this is somewhat of a tangent but I since the new set has come up again as a topic, and I didn't say this last time, I want to point out how great the new set is for booster since that was a concern people had had for it.  The new packs have 3 FooF, 3 RoA, and 3 kings, which are incredibly good card pools to have for booster, even if every single card you get from the new set is worthless for booster.  And the odds of every card you get from the new set being worthless is very low, as there are sites and evil cards you have to draft from even if all the good cards are worthless to you as clay cards.  And even if you are forced to pick a clay card, sometimes just having a hero is worth a lot.

If anything, I'd say the new packs have the best card pool for booster of anything in quite a long time, and that I am super psyched to play some booster next season.

The one thing I'll say is that the new set does give purple a disproportionate boost (har!) in Booster and Sealed. In theory, it shouldn't really matter, but given that purple is already one of the stronger brigades, it does focus the category slightly.
