So, I was wondering what programs people used to podcast in the past

What did you use to do interviews (Skype, Vent, etc)?
What did you use to record?

Thanks!
Marti

Personally, there is nothing better than Skype for interviews or multi person, distance podcasts.  For editing (and local only recording), I recommend Audacity.  It is free, open source, and very good.  It can record, edit, and publish to mp3.  Then, set the id3 tags.

I haven't done much podcasting at all, but I do know those programs work well.

I agree on all counts.  That's the way to go.
