Use a flame thrower!

Spoken like a true Floridian...  ;)

The problem with that idea is that after you turn off the flamethrower, the melted snow now freezes in the cold air and becomes ice (which is much worse than snow).
Actually, I knew that. I've just always wanted to use a flamethrower. Arms chopped off? use a flamethrower! Forest on fire? use a flamethrower! You need Summer Wheeze.

bahahahahaha...

I grew up in the mountains in Park City, Utah, and they wouldn't close the schools unless the snowplows couldn't get out of their garages at 5am to plow the roads for the school buses. This almost always meant that we had at least six feet of snow accumulated overnight, rendering the five-foot high plow blades ineffective.

By the way, Independence mo is in Missouri.

And it's about 13 miles from Kansas City, which is also in Missouri. Which is why MKC said what he did.

True that. The eight inches of white powder on the ground everywhere is actually really cold flour.

FWIW, part of the problem here in Florida is that no one has the appropriate clothing. The majority of Floridians do not own winter coats, boots, gloves, or anything with warmth. Parents would have literally sent their kids to school in long sleeve shirts with wind chills in the 20's.

That's craziness.  Anyone from Minnesota can tell you the proper attire for 20 degree wind chills are shorts and tee shirts. (At least in the spring.) ;)

Lol, you guys thinking 20 degrees is cold. Unless Im going to be out in sub 30 degree weather for a long time, I still wear short sleeve shirts.  I never wear long sleeves, unless its a jacket/coat, which I only wear when I'm going to be in the cold for a long period of time.  :D

It is all relative. The majority of my students have immediate family raised in Central America, so they have not likely ever felt temperatures below 70 degrees. Conversely, if it was 110 degrees with high humidity, you would likely want an air conditioner, while they would feel comfortable.

ah, i see how you could have misinterpreted that. :)

however, there is a kansas city, ks and kansas city, mo that are right next to each other at the border. much like how there is a st. louis, mo and st. louis, illinois that cross over into each other.
