I am about 2-3 episodes to finishing all 10 seasons. But, none of my friends have never seen the show... I figured, since we have a few "old-timers" on the forum, perhaps i will have more luck with being able to discuss the series.

I've never really watched it.  Around here the most commonly discussed sci-fi show is clearly Dr. Who.  However, I wouldn't mind at all discussing Star Trek or Babylon 5 as well.

However after watching StarGate the movie I never had any interest in watching the TV show (despite the casting of MacGyver who is one of my heroes).

Honestly, if you can get past the movie and the pilot episode, the series is great! My favorite sci-fi series. Atlantis is okay, too (I'm between seasons 2 and 3), though Universe was just meh.

I agree. Atlantis is pretty good though. SG-1 has been pretty awesome though, unfortunately i saw the series atlantis, universe, now SG-1, so now everything is all backwards for me. Plus, when there were charachters from SG-1 on atlantis, i didnt understand why it was a big deal. Now im like.. great  -_-

I enjoy Stargate, although I wasn't really as big of a fan of the first few seasons (in general, there were good episodes here an there but there were often ones that just weren't very good), and I don't really watch it anymore (but that is more my lack of interest in TV in general than that its not very good).

The boys and I love Stargate SG-1. It's one of our all-time favorite series. We have all of the DVDs for the 10 seasons. Atlantis was pretty good, but not as good as SG-1 and Universe ended up being pretty disappointing. The main cast of SG-1 and a number of the recurring secondary characters made for some great story lines.

Meh,
The show had serious mood whiplash.
An unanswered question is infinitely better than an unquestioned answer.

My avatar and signature gives credit.  8)

I have the whole series and have watched it many times; it's probably one of my top favorite TV series. I have also seen all of Atlantis, and that was great too; although it wasn't long enough...

Indeed.
