Now Prophets may sell outbefore AW packs.  I have opened a bunch of the regular packs and they kinda stink.

What the heck is a super pack? I have been oblivious to something cool, all of the sudden.

I think they had an extra rare or ultra-rare.  Or maybe it was all rares.  Eh, something crazy like that.

They had an extra rare and sold for four dollars

Have they done this with any other packs?

Also, why didn't I know about this? :P

No, because they're Angel Wars and no one cares about them

They sold for $3.50 and had an extra rare or ultra-rare.  Due to having packs at nationals in 04 with only commons, they had a bunch of extra rares/ultra-rares lying around.  So they used them to double up a number of packs.

Were they marked any differently than the regular ones?  It must not be a coincidence that this coincides with my order!

No they were not marked any different.  But i have seen some wierd pulls from super packs.  I once did a booster draft when someone pulled an Elijah National promo out of the pack.

I wonder does anyone still have them for sale?

For a set, the Promos are printed as if they are cards for the expansion, and pulled out before placed into boxes/packs.  I'm guessing they missed a few promos while assembling the boosters.

Could be, the promos were Elijah and Bartemaeus.  Both were pulled from the same back of AW packs in the same tournament at the same table.  There was also a Mike pulled and I think the pack I had was blah.  I was definitely the one that got jipped.

There's approximately four bazillion left, so that won't happen anytime soon.
On another note, "Bazillion" is accepted by my spell checker.

I dont think anyone is saying AW is going to be retired.  IN fact I suggested that we may run out of prophets packs before AW because the regular packs are kinda lame.

Most of us still aren't ready to print Angel Wars.
