You can take away the whole and still have some left. You can take away some and still have the whole left. What is it?
Outer Space.

Bought some dirt that was no good
Washed the dirt up till it was red as blood
                          The dirt became gold
And became priceless beyond what is told.

It is two sided actually. Who bought the dirt and what is the dirt.

A historian found a rusty pot that said 700BC on it.  Immediately he knew it was fake.  His fellow historian agreed.

Why?

Because the A.D./B.C. system was founded later than the actual date.

Correct.  They couldn't have put BC on something made at that time.

Because they didnt know when christ would actually come.

By the way the answer to my riddle was the word wholesome. Take away some and you get whole, take away the whole and you get some.... I know, its bad. :)
