I have a riddle.

                 Alive without breath
                    Cold as death
Dressed in chain mail never clinking
                    Never thirsty, ever drinking.

What is it? ;) CLUE-A CERTAIN BOOK HAS THE ANSWER; WRITTEN BY TOLKIEN.

If you solve the first one, I have another riddle -- What have I got in my pocket?

I'll just do another one.

Fifty men walked down a road. They stopped by an apple tree. The tree had fifty apples. Each took one apple. There were fourty-nine left.

How did it happen?

Got it. Here's the next one.

                                      A box without hinges
key or lid, yet golden treasure inside is hid.
