Redemption Yahoo Fantasy Football

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is that time of year again.  It is time to put on your lucky socks and paint your face.  Fantasy Football is around the corner!

We had a great turnout last year, with 18 team competing for the title.  We ran three divisions, with the top team from each division making playoffs and the top 5 other teams filling in the wildcard spots.

Falmouth Floggers won last year, followed by Matt Archibald's crustpopes' crushers and Scott Stamp's 49ers. (my apologies to Falmouth, I forget his real name!)

I went ahead and set up the league again.  I e-mailed Redemption players who were in the league last year (except the two who never did anything (aka Nathan Voigt and Ben Arp  ::), much love to you guys!)

If you were not in the league last year, post here and I will PM you the details!  I am giving the returning managers a chance to grab their spots before I make it completely open to join, lest they miss out on getting back in.

I want some input on settings.  I thought it worked well last year with our scoring and rosters.  But suggestions are welcome!
Don't worry, if there are more than 20 teams interested, we can make another league.

*After everyone signs up, we will set a suitable draft time.  The current one was just haphazardly picked.

Looking forward to another great season!

Lies.  If you want to check your lineup more than once, you can play again this year.  ;)

Well you know that I'm interested Kirk ;)

I vote for inviting back then putting the other spots up, since some of us don't frequent the boards often.

I figured that would be the best option.  I will just invite everyone via e-mail and give them a couple weeks to join.  Then I will extend the option for additional players to join.

If you are interested in playing in the league but weren't in it last year, go ahead and post to let me know!

And check your e-mails, Alex and John.

God bless,
Kirk

Hey Kirk,
Give up my spot....I never did get back into my yahoo account.  I would have to create a completely new one for even the hopes to play.

Jonathan,

You can create a new account, or I can make a new one for you and e-mail you the details.  Or do you just not want to play?

Gabe,

PM sent.

The M,

Before you join, I just want to make sure you understand the underlying concept of fantasy football.  Then if you like what you hear I will shoot you the details!  You pick players from various NFL teams to collectively form your own "fantasy" team.  You get points for your team every week based on how well each of your players performs in their actual NFL games.  The players give your team points if they get a certain amount of yards or touchdowns or whatnot.  It is alot of fun!  Are you game?

I would rather play.  It is kind of fun and ironically I do better at Football then Baseball when I know the sport of Baseball better.

Let me know which is easier:  me creating a new account or you creating one.

That's ok, I haven't really been much of a poster on here.  Anyway, I am back to defend my title!!

If you can, you should create one so that you know your security questions, birthdate, etc more easily.

I will just PM you the league info.

And JM, it is great to have you back!
