Card Chipping

Has anyone noticed that priests and onward, the cards are thicker but... they also chip in the corner? Like a little piece in one of the four corner will come off, and it does this REALLY easily. Every Haman and Gates of Jerusalem are like this in addition to about half of my foof/roa cards. texp have avoided this problem because they are not the same, they are slightly thinner and have gloss.  ;D

So anyways... has anyone else been a little frustrated with these? I like the extra thickness but honestly... I'd rather have the old cards because of how easy these ones chip.  :-\

i have not experienced this problem yet, but i do like the older cards better. i wonder why cactus changed it up (also, i believe the new cards only have one layer of laminate).

I absolutely know what you mean. I've been rather disapponted since this happened to both my Scapegoat and my Phinehas a few years ago, but I have come to live with it. :-\ Does it have anything to do with the thickness though? I thought it was just due to reduced budget in the cutting area or something (as many cards from this time are slightly different sizes or off-center as well).

I personlly like thick card stock, kings made me cringe so easy to bend..*Shudder* I also hated AW stock. I like the foil on TEXP but not how thin the stock is.

The difference in quality from old-new cards, to my knowledge, came from Cactus switching printers. Originally the cards were printed somewhere in the states. However, the more recent sets have all been printed in China.
