Just curious if this was already well known and I just picked up on it.
I was watching the classic version of Jesus of Nazareth, and at one point after Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, Judas is talking to a Pharisee. The Pharisee, talking about Jesus, said:
We will continue to watch His mission with great interest.
This immediately made me think of the end of Star Wars Episode I when Palpatine arrives and taps Anakin on the head and says:
We will watch your career with great interest.
In light of previous "revelations" about Anakin being the "chosen one" and having an apparent virgin mother, was the Palpatine quote intended to be derived from the Jesus movie? Or is this just a peculiar coincidence?
