Well I come to check my PM and what do I find but this.... Coding a full feature CCG emulator in PHP/MySQL is likely not going to work out well, having to reference the web server that often is going to kill you especially for people with slower connections. If you know some AJAX you'd have a better shot but I don't like the idea of using web languages for something like this considering there still isn't a universal compatibility on the web. Developing and debugging a game is hard enough, no need to add having to code try catches for every little incompatibility to that mix. if you want it browser based use Java, you don't have to worry about browsers since the applet runs in the JVM and ALL browsers have Java capabilties, except maybe iphones but you'd be way better making an app for tablets. phones and ipods just don't have enough screen real estate.

How does it handle the rules?
You edit xml config files to define the rules.  See plugin tutorial.

Ryan, have you contacted LordZardeck, the guy who created Redemption Connect?

You two might be able to bounce some ideas off each other.

RTS does work, but as mentioned before, it is very outdated. An official way to play online is in the works, but I have no idea how much longer that will take.

I love this idea, My computer will not connect to RTS, and besides that RTS is very VERY outdated. Online play would be much better. And I think that there should be a Practice mode, and a Competitive mode. Practice mode you can use any card, Competitive mode you need to get the card first. And we could make it so that very time you win, you get points that help buy cards for Competitive mode.

Please make this, Thank you,

God Bless!

And I bet alot of other people would give ya 20 bucks too.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

I don't see why you should have to own the cards, period.

I mean, I don't own most of the cards in the tournament decks I've used.

Yeah well the paper cards are already down 50% in value, imagine the value (or lack thereof) of the online cards.

I agree using ajax would be a lot better, I don't know too much AJAX and that is going to be a learning experience. Is there anybody who is willing to put card information into MYSQL databases? Because every card is going to have to be put into a master database.
