Oh no. Not another one of these...

Goats are awesome. Or else really not awesome. Choose your side. Choose wisely.

My family owns goats. They are okay, but also kind of annoying...

No I am not trying to start a thread about goats I am wondering why people are talking about goats and those threads are being deleted. I am just wondering if goats are that important you could create an entire website devoted to goats instead of talking about them here.

I've asked people to not post pictures of goats on the forum.  Some people feel that this is arbitrary and tyrannical.  A few of those people have protested by posting pictures of goats anyway and I have deleted those pictures.  That's basically it.

I'm asking everyone to trust me that I have a good reason for what I'm doing, and let's move on and talk about something else :)

I feel like you're misrepresenting the other side a little bit, huh Mr. Underwood? ;) I have no opinion on the matter, but for someone who is honestly asking about the controversy, I believe the other side (or at least many members of the other side) formulated their opinion in a logical and mature enough way to be properly represented.

Scoobug, basically there was a funny thread a long time ago about goats, and eventually it was locked, because it was termed 'spam.' So since then people have occasionally made references to it, and the controversy came about when an admin locked a 'spammy' goat thread, when the author of the thread had not posted anything of the sort and wondered why his topic was deleted. So the discussion came around to why admins have the right to delete 'spam' when there is no clear line of what is spam and what is simply playful discussion or humor.

Isn't That a Bit Overboard? Just Delete the Spam Instead of the whole topic...
And Spam Has No Clear Definition on this board... I Don't Get What The Difference Between Posting Random Pictures in a NYTO thread is to Posting Random Pictures in a Goat Thread. Seriously This forum used to be more fun. Funny Pic Threads, Binary Threads, NYTO Thread... Good Times...

Please don't create another topic on this... I believe the debate has run its course. I just wanted to make sure both sides were equally represented, as it seemed from the Prof's comment that it was a bunch of winy babies vs. the sound judgment of admins.

I Apologize ,I'm Not Trying to Start another Debate, I Merely was not here for the debate you mentioned and simply wished to post my opinion on the matter as it was portrayed from your post.
