My recollection is Kings was before E/F, but looks good otherwise.

I wasn't around back then so I don't know which was first, Kings or E/F. My guess is that E/F would have some warriors or weapons if it came after Kings since those were introduced to the game during the Kings set. I think every other set noted to be after Kings has those to some degree.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

You might be right, the Cactus website says E/F came out in 2004.  Based on my list I had E/F at 2002 and Kings at 2003.  If this is the case they only released the 2nd Edition C/D in 2002, but I wasn't very active at this time, so that could very well be the case.

Since the E/F rulebook includes rules for weapons, my bet is it succeeded kings.

I think I used TLG's PDF Pricelist as a source when I was trying to do something similar, and it has Pats 2002, Kings 2003, E/F 2004, Angel Wars 2004.  It doesn't have Revised C/D, or a second year for C/D, like with FooF/RoA, but Cactus provides 2002 for that.

The Kings packs do say "Recommended for advanced players", so they may have avoided printing weapons in the starter deck that came out less than a year later.  I think there's only potential 2 WC characters (Esau the Hunter and Shaphat) and no potential weapons, in any case.

So with Kings being before E/F that means there was only two years before the next starter deck, other than adding Warrior class does anyone know why it was such a short time?  The others took much longer before a replacement.

Since I started after Kings came out but before the Third Edition Starter Deck came out, then I can confirm that Kings was out first. And the reason why there was such a short time between the Third Edition Starter Deck and the 10th Anniversary Starter deck is because the 10th Anniversary of Redemption happened in one specific year, and interrupted the normal release of starter decks... or at least that's my assumption.
