This has to be the best Father's Day ever because my son is gone for the next 7 days. Now before you gasp in horror at such a statement, let me expound. My son left yesterday to spend a week in Miami with a group of 30 from our church. They will be evangelizing and serving local churches. This is Joshua's first Mission Trip, so I am both nervous and excited for him. In fact, the past two weeks have been quite eventful for him. He just finished his first year in high school, after being homeschooled for the past 9 years. He ended up with a 3.3 GPA and quickly earned a reputation for being a "nice" guy. He also passed his College Entrance Exam and is now dual-enrolled at Polk State College. It's hard to believe that my little boy has grown up so fast.
So, what makes this the best Father's Day ever? The fact that I am the father of Joshua Harmon.
