I assume this has to be used right when that Herod enters battle? By its wording it really seems like it has to happen when it's played, but since it's territory-class, that's weird.

Well, it gets placed when played, and can be played outside of battle because it's TC.  Like other placed cards, it grants an ability to the Herod on which it is placed as long as it's hanging around there.  Obviously, the ability to play Enhancements is limited to times when it's normally allowed, which 98% of the time means in battle.  Then, you can chuck it to cause Heroes to withdraw.

I pushed pretty hard for a strong withdraw theme for Herods because it's different from the norm, and because there's not a lot of protection against withdrawal like there is for capture or discard.  Also, gold already has a few cards that do this.

Bryon wanted to see more deck discard and capture, and there's plenty of that as well.  In fact, put this card on the new Herod Agrippa II for a nice double-shot:

CARD NAME: Herod Agrippa II
CARD TYPE: evil  character
CLASS: Warrior
IDENTIFIERS:
STATS: 6/6
BRIGADE COLOR: gold
SPECIAL ABILITY:  Negate protect abilities on Fortresses.  If a hero withdraws from battle, you may capture it.  May band to a Sadducee.  Cannot be negated.
SCRIPTURE:  And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth. Acts 25:23

wow, i got 3 ultra rares in one pack :o

also, am i missing something, or is destructive sin > image of jealousy?

Ohhhhh yes. DS is FTW. If the wording is the same as what I remember, it stops cards that can get rid of it as well.  :D

Orange will be a force to be reckoned with.

Since its revealed now, I'd just like to say that Darius's Decree is going in every single deck I make now.

as far as i can tell, dd would primarily pretty much just stop set-asides and heroes set-aside. why would that make it staple to you?

also, yeah...deceptive sin stops most of the cards that would stop it as well (if you're referring to the covenant thing). ds would definately be staple if i had a way to work in orange in all my decks. maybe splash priests kot and potw in all my decks?

And it stops ET, Jacob, Hidden Treasures, etc... no more pre-block enhancements against me.

If Schaef's wording is correct, I think DD would also stop enhancements from being played in hero-hero side battles.

Oh yes Bryon even said defenses get much more of a boost this time around and I agree.  :)

About time too, FooF and RoA largely gave offenses some MASSIVE power.

i would definately make it staple in t1 multi, with all the speed/heavy hero offenses, plus the suprlus of pentecosts/first fruits/feast of trumpets. im sure dd will catch one player with all his heroes set aside and discard them all :D

Because white female NT needs to be stronger...  ;)

CARD NAME: Susanna
CARD TYPE: Hero
CLASS:
IDENTIFIERS: X = the number of female N.T. heroes in play
STATS: 1/X
BRIGADE COLOR: white
SPECIAL ABILITY:  Look at the top X cards of deck.  May add one to hand.  Place the rest beneath deck.  Cannot be negated.
SCRIPTURE: And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. Luke 8:3
I'm so happy now (now what about speed?)

truth be told, all the brigades got ~3 new cards at the outset, but as we expanded it from 50ish to 60, I think the evil cards came out more towards the end.  At least two of the last 4-5 cards added were evils (Treachery and Destructive Sin were I think the last new adds).  I've tried to show a little bit from each brigade, keeping in mind that Bryon has already shown off a few cards.  Plus, I haven't really shown much of the Arts/Forts/Dominants yet, and those are a more even mix of helping good and evil than it might seem from what we've been showing off.

I might break out more of those support cards later, but for now, I need to finish this round of evil cards:

CARD NAME: Philistine Garrison
CARD TYPE: evil character
CLASS: warrior
IDENTIFIERS: Generic
STATS: 12/8
BRIGADE COLOR: black
SPECIAL ABILITY: Immune to lone Heroes.
SCRIPTURE: And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after me: for the LORD hath delivered them into the hand of Israel. I Samuel 14:12

This plus 12-Fingered Giant plus Phil. Outpost (not yet shown) equals kablam.

Hehehehehe, indeed. That card, Grapes, and Mayhem will certianly shake up multi.  ;D

There's another one you all haven't even seen yet that will be added to this sentence for sure; I've been sandbagging that one on purpose.  :maul:

Yay! I can't wait to start playing with these new cards.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
