Another 6-1 week.  This time around Sean's NFL.com team spanked mine to drop me to 2nd best overall record in that league.  Sean's team is on a 6 game win streak to lead the league now at 8-3.  Bravo!  I dropped to 7-3-1.  But I'm 10-1 in three leagues, 9-2 in two others, and lead the points-based league.

This week should be fun for my ESPN league. Favre and Peterson are against Chicago, R. Williams is against the Bills, and Jennings and Driver are against the Lions. This is gonna be great. Also, T.O., who is making his comeback, is against the Dolphins who have the 4th highest points allowed so far this year. Good times... :D

Wow this should be an interesting finish to the regular season.  So many teams are fighting for playoff seeding and it will get really messy with this next week's worth of games.  Steelers and Winnipeg can also both lose their division titles if the cards fall a certain way.  A couple 7-6 teams might miss the playoffs by a few mere points!  Oh the intrigue!

Yeah, I am trying to knock off the Bombers and win my division.  The problem is that no one wants to play the 49'ers at the moment....

I don't know.  I have a shaky team right now.  The Turner situation has weakened me because Mike Smith wanted to start him but really shouldn't have.  My QBs are rather average right now, mostly due to matchups.  Fitzgerald becomes a no-show when Leinart is in.  DeSean has a concussion although I have Avant as a backup.  With Eli ailing I'm not sure how many points Nicks will get me each week.

Bottom line: I can be beat.  M&K Raiders proved that in week 2.

In other leagues it has been a tough week.  I have one loss for sure and another is likely for one of my 10-1 teams.  A third loss could occur if Brady is unconscious tonight and Brees is awful.  I blame coaching.

Yeah, I thought that Mike wasn't going to play him, so I made the mistake of playing Snelling, who had a beast of a game against the Giants, you would have thought he would have a great game againts the Bucs too.... But no, worst fantasy decision of my life - undoubtably cost me my game this week.

LOL  and HOW long ago was that?....  That was back when Charlie Weis was coach of Notre Dame, That was back when the Titans were losing, That was back when people were still talking about mark Sanchez for ROY in the NFL...Man that may have been back before Apartheid ended...

Did I win? I can't get onto my NFL.com account anymore.... I lost both password and username. Darn. Also, maybe the owner of the league could "invite another owner" and I could make another account? I like that league and am doing decent... but I want to manage my roster.  ;D

You're FireBoy right? If so then yes you beat me, I made the mistake of leaving Thomas on the bench in favor of Snelling who I thought would have a huge game against the Bucs with Turner limping around - It helps that Brees' threw for 5 TD's too ;)

Well, thanks to a very un-Brady-like evening I ended up being 6-1 for the week.  All my 10-1 teams survived to go 11-1.  I am a bit nervous in the points league.  I've seen my 200+ point lead dwindle to 76.   :-\

Here is a little synopsis of Kirk's fantasy season so far in 3 leagues...

After starting the year 3-6 in this league and 1-5 in my dynasty league (in which I have never had more than 5 losses in 5 years, placing in the top 4 each year), I have rebounded with 3 straight wins in this league and 6 straight wins in my dynasty league. Now I hold a playoff berth in both leagues and it is only mine to lose.  In my third league, I missed the draft and had to work with what I received.  As a result I am 7-5 and holding onto the last playoff spot in that league.  However, in the final week of the regular season in that league, I play a 6-6 team who has over 100 more points than I who will knock me out of the playoffs if he beats me.  Nothing like a one-game playoff!

Be prepared for the defending champ to make his presence known in the playoffs.  8)

Crazy week of football, both real and fantasy.  If Rodgers and Crosby have good games I can squeak out another 6-1 week.  The league I know I've lost for sure is one where my team has become just awful.  I'll likely lose in the first round of the playoffs next week.

Total cremation!  You're leading 83-68 and you still have Jennings and Driver to go.   :o

Anyone see the stats that Soul Seeker put up?

First of all, who would pick that line up?

and second of all is that not totally insane or what?

Soul Seekers Scrubs - Total Week Pts: 142.08
JBU Golden Eagles - Total Week Pts: 66.50

To be fair, the Commish still has Aaron Rogers left to play...so there is hope...If Rogers can score 76 points!

My jaw hit the floor when I saw that score in the afternoon.   :o

If I'm Kirk, I'm thinking it was probably the most favorable matchup I could have headed into the playoffs.  But...on any given Sunday!  That's why I said before that my team can be beat.  Even though I'm a 15-yard pass from being 13-0, it only takes an injury (I have two) or bad matchups (2 or 3 possible in two weeks) and I become toast.  Take last year.  I was the hottest team going into the playoffs.  Gabe gave me an early exit in the first round.

And by the way, the only reason I am 12-1 is due most in part to Ray Rice and Vernon Davis.  Schaub played above his draft status the first half of the season, too.  And I was fortunate that most of my top draft picks performed as planned.  I really felt bad when soul seekers couldn't manage his team because it really makes a difference sometimes.  I was also helped this year by picking up some free agents at just the right time (Snelling/Olsen) and adjusted my lineup accordingly.

I think we'll have a fun playoffs!   :)
