I second the Nomination of Jonathan Greeson. I haven't been playing redemption long but both of the official tournaments I've played in were hosted by him (i think i've only played in 2 official ones. feel free to correct me if i'm wrong somekittens) He's a very gracious host, always makes good rulings even when they might hurt him if he uses the same cards later on, and has really helped welcome me to the tournaments.

I nominate and vote for Bill Voigt. With all due respect to the other contributors to the game, it is my firm belief that no one deserves a place of recognition as much as Bill does. If the Hall of Fame serves its intended purpose, it is for informing the Redemption community of members who have had invaluable influences on the game and its players. For those of you who don't know Bill, he is probably the single biggest reason that MN has been so strong in Redemption. He has not only raised a National Champion (and a fine young man, even despite his hairy feet) but he has also taught/influenced several other National Champions. He began the annual T2-Only Blowout, a local tournament that consistently draws players from all over the Redemption world. We've had players come from Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Maryland, and Missouri. Bill is generous enough to help with many of the travel expenses out-of-pocket so that those of us who like our decks bigger and balanced have quality competition that is comparable to Nationals. I for one don't know if I'd still even be involved in Redemption if it wasn't for Bill. While my and my family's storied history in the game predated Bill's influence, it has only been helped by his generosity, love for the game, and really-old-kidlikeness.

Aside from his influence on some of the major players of the Redemption world, Bill has also made significant contributions to the game as a whole. He has embraced the idea that the way to have great experienced players is to teach (and keep the interest of) new kids. This is why Bill pioneered Type A as a tournament category, so that kids just learning to play can compete in big tournaments without having to get pummeled round after round by experienced players. This helps them stay interested in the game. Bill also hosts a Redemption minicamp every summer, where kids learn to play the game. But they also learn the more vital aspect of the game of Redemption, which is the concept of Redemption. They are exposed to people in the Bible that they are familiar with, and some they are not. There are Bible studies, quizzes, and worship times. The main attraction is of course the game, but the main takeaway is that it's more than just a game. This part of it also helps parents to get involved, and several dads of minicamp attendees are now regulars at tournaments.

Lastly, the fruits of Bill's labor go beyond expanding the game. One summer, a kid brought his friend to minicamp. This led to the friends parents looking into the church, as they had not been active churchgoers for several years. Now they are a member of a church community, all because of a Redemption minicamp, which was all because of Bill Voigt.

For those of you who have yet to meet Bill, come to Nats. It'll be fun. For those of you who have met Bill, you know what I'm talking about.

Keith Bartram – [T1-2p (x3)] - Winning Redemption's biggest event at nats every time he went.
Joshua Hey – [T2-2p, T2-mp (x2)] - 4th place overall RNRS when he left the game.  One of only 3 players to place in the top 3 at Nats in 3 different events in the same year.
Eric Kimmons – [T2-2p (x2), T2-mp (x2)] - Only player ever to win 4 Nats in a row.  One of 2 players who have won at 4 different Nats at all.
Bill Voight - Creator and manager of Redemption Camp, Creator and host of the "Annual T2 Only Tournament"
Sam Nurge – [Sealed, Booster] - Winning the two "random" events in the same year, proving it isn't quite so random
Roy Cruz – the Heart of Redemption, Nats host, Elder
John Michaliszyn – Nats host, Creation Festival Guru, Elder
Kevin Shride - Elder, Nats winner [T2-2p]
Daniel Whitten - [T1-mp x2]
Tyler Stevens - Consistent winner over the last 5 years as evidenced by being in the top 30 RNRS points of all time.

I mass quoted Prof and edited it a bit but these are my nominations in order.  I believe we still ow a debt to those who went before us and won redemption in its infancy.

An unanswered question is infinitely better than an unquestioned answer.
