Woah. Redesign. It was hinted at, but I expected it to just be a joke. But I saw that Rob posted these on his Facebook page, so this is legit.

My first instinct was that I dislike the new font choices, but I'll wait until I see larger images before I pass judgment. The special abilities definitely seem way easier to read, which is major. But if the ability text is as Arial as it seems... I might end up actually preferring the old design. (I feel bad being so negative, especially as the first post on the thread, but luckily most people care far less about typefaces than I do, so I doubt my opinion will carry much weight.)

Can someone post the facebook link? I hardly ever use it and I can't find Rob on there.

I have to ask, did they contact you about the redesign specifically?

We both had the same concept for this redesign, and even then this design is different from what either of us worked up (primarily the rounded corners and sans-serif font choices)

Hopefully this are playtesting mockups which generally use different fonts than actual cards. if not then I won't be a happy camper either.

I like the designs and the purple Peter, but I hope he has a more useful ability than what it shows here.

So this SoG would negate shut door's ability?

Sorry to disappoint you, but what you see is what you get. Just remember that A) it's a starter deck card and B) since his name is Peter, he essentially also has the ability: "if The Garden Tomb is in play, ignore most evil characters..."

Yes, this SoG would negate Shut Door if it rescued it, but that doesn't really matter, since if Shut Door has always been able to be rescued by SoG.

Peter is deceptively powerful. D1 on a TGT hero is borderline broken.

Peter is deceptively powerful because he's a Purple TGT hero, like John. I think John is still better, but Peter gets 4DC too. Not broken IMO.

Hallelujah, we have a redesign. I've never been so excited for starters.

Finally, there was also the starter deck posted with Guardian of your Soul's picture on the front. Perhaps GoyS and FA reprints?

Not overly thrilled with the redesign (though Son of God is gorgeous), but the cards are clearer, and I mostly play on RTS anyway, so it won't be a huge deal.

no return to territory after capture for peter? i liked that ability...

Actually, scratch that. The SoG is WAYYYYYY over powered. Now the souls that couldn't be rescued by a anything but a hero are pretty useless.

All I'm saying is that Disciples have enough speed and the only demon I have faced was winged lion in a Bab defense. I think he should have kept some of his original ability.

I am glad we finally have all good disciples in purple.

Do we know Andrew is purple now?

He's definitely getting a purple reprint.

Why would they reprint Peter and not his brother who will most likely be a vanilla band to Peter. Just like James was to John in the previous starter deck.
