Awhile ago i could definitely see where he was coming from, but now I've come to realize you just have to ignore the bad and enjoy the good that comes with the people on the board. So everyone take a chill pill (this includes myself) (enjoy the good) and stop whining you're making it worse.

This is insane.  People listen to what I am saying.  There are people on this board that drive me nuts.  But you know what?  I DONT READ THEIR THREADS!  or if I come a cross one of their posts, I just skip it or give it a cursory reading, realize it confirms my belief that they are insane, and I move on.

Why are people letting the comments of others ruin their redemption experience?  This is just nuts.

And by the way, deleting does no one a disservice except you.  I know people think that it will force people to change their views because "so and so" deleted their account!  Oh NO!  But that is just foolishness.


If the board is really stressing you out, take a page from minister Pol and just not log on for a while and leave your account intact.


All these little kids and their drama is driving me crazy.

Well said Matt.  I couldn't have put it any better myself.

Another reason deleting your account is not smart: RRulez told me he was planning to attend East Central Regionals.  However, now that he deleted his account, I have no way to contact him anymore and find out if he is able to come.  :-\

This trend of quiting the boards and deleting your account is really childish.  Rrulez, I'm sorry that you decided to follow other people's poor example in this regard.  The "quitters" judge other people by their actions but don't hold themselves to the same standard.

There are plenty of discussions and comments on the boards that I don't care for.  For the most part I avoid the entire off topic section of the boards because that's where the majority of them reside.  There are also some sections of these boards that I love and frequent often.  If there's a section or a certain person's comments that you don't like, nobody is forcing you to go there.

We all need to learn to live at peace with one another.  That doesn't mean we have to agree with one another.  It means that we give up our right to be offended, and put down our keyboard when we would rather "flame" someone.  We love one another the way Christ loves them.  When the Prince of Peace returns, he'll put our petty differences to rest.

See, THATS what everyone who wants to quit should do.  I went AWOL for a while because I was incredibly busy with student teaching and other classwork.  But even if I was fed up with the near incessant childish banter that I keep hearing from some people, I wouldn't delete my account over THEM.  It just doesn't make any sense to let someone else drive you away from something you enjoy.

Now, before people take offense at me calling some people "childish" or "Immature" please understand I am only judging you by what I can see; your actions on this board.  I have not called anyone out by name and I will not, so if you are feeling perseuted by me, it is your own guilty consience talking in your head.

But please understand people.  It is not conflict that determines your maturity, but how you handle conflict.  ANyone can argue wiht another person but can you do so in a grown up and mature way?  can you argue a point, even passionaltely without making personal attacks on people?  and if you do happen to make personal attacks, can you admit your mistake?  These are the marks of an adult and mature conversation.  Until we see these, dont get angry if you get labeled as childish or immature.


It is not age that determinse maturity but the wisdom that someone has recieved form the Lord.  I have seen 13 year olds with greater maturity than 30 year olds.  Please think before you post.
