I forgot to mention this until now. Tomorrow afternoon my wife and I will be driving down to Charlotte NC to participate in a massive outpouring of song to our Lord. EVERYONE is invited, and admission is absolutely free. The dozens of songs have already been selected, as well as the song leaders, but ANYONE who loves to sing will be welcome. All singing is accapella (without musical accompaniment), and fully congregational (meaning no solos or choirs). Most songs will have four part harmony. My wife has been going for several years, but this will be my first time. Last year there were over 500 voices blending in song, and it is quite inspiring. We try to worship God and admonish each other in song just as God desires.
Some activities begin at a local church of Christ on Friday evening, but Saturday is the day with the most activities, all located at the Carbarrus Arena and Events Center.
